The Power of the Unprogrammed Mind Through the Trilogy of Moses, Jesus and Muhammed
Psychiatry can be defined as the science of reducing mental suffering and enhancing mental health. To date, the field has been primarily concerned with the first part of the definition. For example, in the Index to the Standard Edition of the Complete Psychological Works of Sigmund Freud (19), the word "neurosis" has over 400 references. In contrast, "health" is not even listed. The imbalance tends to be true of contemporary texts, as well. This situation is understandable because psychiatry originated to deal with disordered function. The question, "What is the function of a healthy person?" which require the further question "What is the purpose of human life?" is not usually asked because it is assumed to be answered by simple observation of the everyday active ties of the general population 2 (18, p. 122) Arthur J. Deikman, M.DWe must not forget that human's soul is God's soul, and when we say God's soul that means its dimension is cosmic, eternal and it doesn't have an image by which it is recognized. If by chance it is identified by a label from this earthy world, that label might itself be the cause of its death. Consciousness on the other hand, it was supposed to maintain the primordial state of metamorphism and fluidity of the soul and not to become embedded in emotional forces. If however the state of consciousness-awake is transformed to the state of automaton, still further, if the power of self-intention is transformed to an indoctrinated consciousness followed by mechanical actions, what are left after are only depression, anxiety and so forth. Now the way we think about politics and the system, under which we live and influenced by, it is simply the result of the way we were shaped and the way we were indoctrinated in how to think about that system, and whether we are protagonists or antagonists; even when we are antagonist, our conscious revolt is itself preprogrammed. It is likewise with religion, it was supposed to free our minds from the idolatry of the institutions, it is itself characterizing us, not from its primordial concept per se, but because of a fabricated manmade dogma. In our current violent events, it is very hard for us to visualize the presence of these three prophets: Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (PBUT) within our political arena and their indubitable role, it is also very hard for us to see introspectively their frequencies-personalities within ourselves. This book serves as an embarkation on a life journey and invites the reader to discover his inner self through the personalities of these three prophets; the stages they went through during their lives, which are in reality our own stages. In a meanwhile, at the end of every chapter there is an introspective exegesis where the reader is invited to get into a deep scrutiny and analyze his inner psychic life.

Muhammed As-Saffar

In December of 1845, Muhammad as-Saffar was sent by the reigning Moroccan sultan on a special diplomatic mission to Paris. During the journey, as-Saffar took careful notes and upon his return he hurriedly wrote this travel account. Why was the sultan, descendent of the Prophet Muhammad, and head of a dynasty that had ruled Morocco for more than two hundred years, so eager to read this account? Perhaps he thought it would illuminate some troubling matters: how the French acquired their power and their mastery over nature; how they led their daily lives, educated their children, treated their women and servants. In short, the sultan wanted to know the condition of French civilization and why it differed from his. As-Saffar provided the answers. Moreover, as we read the account, Muhammad as-Saffar comes alive for us. We see him reflecting on the beauty of women, contorting during his ritual ablutions, and suffering from boredom at endless dinners. His opinions and ideas infuse every page. For him the journey was more than a catalog of curiosities; it was a transforming experience. Given our very limited knowledge of the time and the absence of other voices that speak with equal clarity, this travel account enlarges our understanding of the relationship between nineteenth-century Morocco and France.
Device Physics for Engineering Design of Heavily Doped Regions in Pn-junction Silicon Solar Cells
Abstract: This dissertation presents a quantitative study of the physical mechanisms underlying the anomolously large recombination current experimentally observed in heavily doped regions of silicon pn-junction solar cells and bipolar transistors. The study includes a comparison of theoretical predictions with a variety of experimental observations in heavily doped silicon and silicon devices. A major conclusion is that the simplest physical model that adequately describes the heavily doped regions must include Fermi- Dirac statistics, a phenomenological excess intrinsic carrier density (or deficit impurity concentration), Auger recombination in the bulk, and recombination at the surface. These mechanisms are incorporated in a first-order model useful in the design of silicon pn-junction solar cells. The accuracy of the first-order model is supported by comparing its results with the results of more detailed models and of a numerical analysis of the problem. Experimental data are presented that are consistent with the predictions of the first-order model and of the numerical solution. Dissertation Discovery Company and University of Florida are dedicated to making scholarly works more discoverable and accessible throughout the world. Arabian Mirrors and Western Soothsayers

Muhammed A. Al-Da'Mi

The value of Arab-Islamic history in Western thought has undergone many vicissitudes, but it is now greater than ever. This book investigates the intellectual motives and compulsions that hide behind the nineteenth-century British and American elite's invocation of this history. The touchstones are many - the prophet, the Caliphate, the conquests, and Muslim Spain to mention a few. Al-Da'mi discusses such issues in an attempt not only to show their relevance to domestic problems, but also to trace the roots of an idea and to forecast future crises and dialogues. The book's finale demonstrates the unbridgeable gap between Eastern and Western approaches to the Islamic past.
