A restaura o de um dente tratado endodonticamente, devido perda significativa da estrutura dent ria, muitas vezes requer suporte adicional do canal radicular por meio de uma restaura o com pino e n cleo. No entanto, o pino pode gerar tens es que levam fratura vertical da raiz e perda do dente. Como o design do pino, o material utilizado e a prepara o do espa o do pino t m uma influ ncia significativa na preval ncia de fraturas verticais, uma ampla investiga o est em andamento para descobrir o procedimento ideal. A reabilita o est tica, funcional e estrutural de um dente sem polpa extremamente importante para garantir um resultado restaurador bem-sucedido. Nos casos em que a maior parte da por o coronal est perdida, um m todo comum para restaurar esses dentes o uso de um pino e n cleo, sobre o qual cimentada uma coroa completa. O pino funciona principalmente para auxiliar na reten o da restaura o e proteger o dente, dissipando ou distribuindo as for as ao longo do dente. Por outro lado, o dente fica enfraquecido se a dentina for sacrificada para colocar um pino de grande di metro. O principal objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a capacidade de diferentes tipos de pinos para refor ar dentes tratados endodonticamente.

Die Restauration eines endodontisch behandelten Zahns erfordert aufgrund des erheblichen Verlusts an Zahnsubstanz h ufig eine zus tzliche St tzung des Wurzelkanals durch eine Stiftaufbau-Restauration. Der Stift kann jedoch Spannungen erzeugen, die zu einer vertikalen Wurzelfraktur und zum Verlust des Zahns f hren k nnen. Da das Design des Stifts, das verwendete Material und die Pr paration des Stiftraums einen erheblichen Einfluss auf die H ufigkeit vertikaler Frakturen haben, werden derzeit umfangreiche Untersuchungen durchgef hrt, um das optimale Verfahren zu ermitteln. Die sthetische, funktionelle und strukturelle Rehabilitation eines pulpenlosen Zahns ist f r ein erfolgreiches Restaurationsergebnis von entscheidender Bedeutung. In F llen, in denen der gr te Teil der Kronenpartie verloren gegangen ist, ist eine g ngige Methode zur Restauration solcher Z hne die Verwendung eines Stifts und einer Stiftaufbau, auf die eine Vollkrone zementiert wird. Der Stift dient in erster Linie dazu, die Retention der Restauration zu unterst tzen und den Zahn zu sch tzen, indem er Kr fte entlang des Zahns ableitet oder verteilt. Im Gegensatz dazu wird der Zahn geschw cht, wenn Dentin geopfert wird, um einen Stift mit gro em Durchmesser zu setzen. Der Hauptzweck dieser Studie war es, die F higkeit verschiedener Arten von Stiften zur Verst rkung endodontisch behandelter Z hne zu bewerten.
