Simple and Delicious Recipes for Every Day taken from Cathy's private collection of recipes that have been favourites with her family and friends for many years. As each of her children grew up and "left the nest", they started asking her for the recipes they loved. She put together a simple ring-bound collection and gave each of her children a copy for Christmas in 2018. Since then, many friends have asked for copies, too, and finally, after many years, here is a professionally produced edition of Cathy's Family Favourites for all to enjoy. Recipe ingredients are those you would easily find in your own pantry, although here and there, a typical South African brand or term will be referenced.

"Cathy's Orchid - That Night, Next Morning and Next Afternoon" is one book from a continuing collection by David E. Stone entitled "The Photographic Series". Over the course of one evening, the next morning & afternoon, David E. Stone photographed his wife's orchid plant in their kitchen and resulting images are distinctly different due to the changing light of each part of the day. The works in this series are all unique photographs taken in rapid succession of the same image, so the resulting images are possibly different from each other due to minor shifts in composition or focus. Due to the focus on uniqueness, The Photographic Series books are not intended to replicate or catalog the series (as they rarely include all of the proofs) and since they are not the original images, the artist considers them to be curated surveys of images from the series and as such, are recontextualized by the pairings for the purposes of being a book.

Cathy Berberian (1925-1983) was a vocal performance artist, singer and composer who pioneered a way of composing with the voice in the musical worlds of Europe, North America and beyond. As a modernist muse for many avant-garde composers, Cathy Berberian went on to embody the principles of postmodern thinking in her work, through vocality. She re-defined the limits of composition and challenged theories of the authorship of the musical score. This volume celebrates her unorthodox path through musical landscapes, including her approach to performance practice, gender performativity, vocal pedagogy and the culturally-determined borders of art music, the concert stage, the popular LP and the opera industry of her times.
