O objetivo do estudo foi analisar as evid ncias dos cuidados/interven es de enfermagem que previnem a ocorr ncia de danos e eventos adversos durante o procedimento de aspira o endotraqueal em pacientes internados em Terapia Intensiva. Os resultados mostraram que a coloniza o por microorganismos apresenta maior import ncia nos danos e eventos adversos aos quais os pacientes s o submetidos, acompanhado da PAV, levando ao aumento do tempo de VM e do tempo de perman ncia do paciente na UTI. A aspira o traqueal pode alterar a PaO2/SpO2, diminuindo imediatamente ap s a aspira o em sistema aberto e, a satura o de oxig nio aumenta na realiza o com sistema de aspira o fechado. Os danos e eventos adversos podem ser prevenidos quando a aspira o traqueal por via oral realizada entre o intervalo de 2-4 horas. Preconiza-se a realiza o do procedimento correto com produtos selecionados por meio de estudos baseados em evid ncias para prevenir eventos adversos, redu o do tempo de perman ncia em VM na UTI, redu o na coloniza o por micro-organismos e outros eventos adversos.

Over the course of Dawn's career, she was a mompreneur - raising two children as a single parent with the assistance of their grandparents, the children's God parents and good friends who cared for them while she was away at any given time serving her country. In the midst of her demanding life, she held on to her love for music as an Indie Artist. She sang while she served and a released a gospel CD in 2012 entitled, "You're My Rock." A native of Washington, D.C., she has performed in the District, Maryland and Virginia area. In January of 2014, she performed in Nashville at the Stellar Awards Indie Showcase.
