Misfortune hilariously abounds in this graphic novel about the life of one persistently unlucky kid named K-who is, once again, very, very much in trouble!K just keeps getting in trouble! Trouble finds him when a mischievous goat eats his train ticket home. Trouble finds him when he's stowed away in a barrel of apples, hiding from angry farmers. Trouble finds him as he dangles from a ridiculously high diving board in front of the entire town. Trouble even finds him through a very talkative snowman, whose chatter gets K into even more trouble. But it's not all bad news for K: The stories in this graphic novel find him reunited with an old friend, taking a restorative trip to the sea, and making the acquaintance of a young farm girl! Join K as he tries (and fails) to stay out of trouble in this new set of adventures from Gary Clement. For more adventures with K, check out K Is in Trouble.

Phonics is a decoding skill that's used to help adults improve their reading skills. Using phonics makes learners feel more at ease when learning to read. It means they have a way to decode the words on the page.K Words book introduces adult learners to words that have the "K" sound in them. There are words like, kite, kitten, kangaroo, koala, kitchen and kettle. K Words book also covers the "N" sound that the KN letter combination makes. It has words like knock, knife and kneel. K Words book uses large font and images to make reading easier. K Words book has sight word sentences. It ends with the learner reading long reading passages that focus on words with the "K" sound. Each sentence and reading passage is accompanied by an image which will help the learner know what the sentence is about and will help them decode the words better.
IF you're seeking RESULTS lasting relief from spinning out anxiety, then this IS the book for you.Thankfully, there's a viable road map for alleviating these issues. Kill Anxiety Live Immensely from author, Najaam P Lee, provides a strategy for battling with and healing from anxiety.Does insomnia kick-in when constant worries fill your thoughts? Is fear like a cloud lingering over your dreams you want to achieve? Can you use some peace and tranquility? If you answered YES! you are not alone. Anxiety has always hidden in the shadows of every human being until Social Media blew it up. This bomb brought awareness to a vastness in the area of anxiety, that 40 million adults in the U.S. alone are suffering from anxiety; 6.8 million adults affected by G.A.D. which is generalized anxiety disorder, yet only 43.2% are receiving treatment. This lead Najaam on a quest to understanding her own struggles and a wild encounter with Hindu goddess Kali Ma showing the way to overcoming and taking back her power!

These notes are based on the course of lectures I gave at Harvard in the fall of 1964. They constitute a self-contained account of vector bundles and K-theory assuming only the rudiments of point-set topology and linear algebra. One of the features of the treatment is that no use is made of ordinary homology or cohomology theory. In fact, rational cohomology is defined in terms of K-theory.The theory is taken as far as the solution of the Hopf invariant problem and a start is mode on the J-homomorphism. In addition to the lecture notes proper, two papers of mine published since 1964 have been reproduced at the end. The first, dealing with operations, is a natural supplement to the material in Chapter III. It provides an alternative approach to operations which is less slick but more fundamental than the Grothendieck method of Chapter III, and it relates operations and filtration. Actually, the lectures deal with compact spaces, not cell-complexes, and so the skeleton-filtration does not figure in the notes. The second paper provides a new approach to K-theory and so fills an obvious gap in the lecture notes.
Considering the role of compulsory mass education and schooling in a democratic society, this book introduces an alternative vision for K-12 education as an "adventurous endeavour." Grounded in a strong theoretical framework, Yosef-Hassidim reveals the negative impact of instrumentalization of schools: when education is considered a social and political instrument, it serves dominant social forces’ interests rather than students’ or humanity as a whole. Offering conceptual and pragmatic frameworks to limit political influence on schooling, the author proposes a new hermeneutical structure that restores education’s agency and separates it from external social forces, and provides the foundation for regarding K-12 education as a sovereign social sphere in its own right.
The emergence of 'positive' political economy has been one of the most dramatic developments in contemporary economics and these volumes include some of the foundational works in this area.
This six volume set explores the interface between psychology and religion, looking at aspects of religion belief and mysticism as related to the study of human consciousness.
These four volumes are part of the forty-one volume set New Accents. First launched in 1977 the New Accents Series rapidly changed the face of literary studies.
Psychology concerns the scientific study of behaviour and experience. This set presents an excellent overview of this vast field and incorporates texts on the related fields of psychoanalysis and psychotherapy.
K-Pop: Popular Music, Cultural Amnesia, and Economic Innovation in South Korea seeks at once to describe and explain the emergence of export-oriented South Korean popular music and to make sense of larger South Korean economic and cultural transformations. John Lie provides not only a history of South Korean popular music the premodern background, Japanese colonial influence, post-Liberation American impact, and recent globalization but also a description of K-pop as a system of economic innovation and cultural production. In doing so, he delves into the broader background of South Korea in this wonderfully informed history and analysis of a pop culture phenomenon sweeping the globe.

K-theory has helped convert the theory of operator algebras from a simple branch of functional analysis to a subject with broad applicability throughout mathematics, especially in geometry and topology, and many mathematicians of diverse backgrounds must learn the essential parts of the theory. This book is the only comprehensive treatment of K-theory for operator algebras, and is intended to help students, non-specialists, and specialists learn the subject. This book develops K-theory, the theory of extensions, and Kasparov’s bivariant KK-theory for C*-algebras. Special topics covered include the theory of AF algebras, axiomatic K-theory, the Universal Coefficient Theorem, and E-theory. Although the book is technically complete, motivation and intuition are emphasized. Many examples and applications are discussed. This first paperback printing has been revised and expanded and contains an updated reference list.
