When a storm washes a crippled ship into the waters of Acadia, the quiet of the exiled American government is broken. Tasked with protecting the last president of the Eastern States, an old soldier code-named FOUR sets out to investigate the wreckage. In the belly of the ship, FOUR uncovers an ark carrying much-needed supplies and a lone child, a frightened girl who bears a chilling resemblance to the daughter he lost decades ago.
