Cardiac disease complicating pregnancy is present in a relatively small number of women; however, it accounts for a disproportionate share of maternal morbidity and mortality, especially in developing/emerging countries. The prevalence of cardiac disease in pregnancy is increasing and there are multiple underlying etiologies with wide-ranging severity. Normal adaptions during pregnancy often further challenge already compromised anatomic and physiologic compensatory mechanisms of the cardiovascular system, increasing the risk of adverse maternal and fetal outcomes. In this Element, the authors describe how these changes alter nonpregnant physiology with a variety of preexisting and newly diagnosed cardiac conditions. Maternal and fetal risks are reviewed. Diagnosis and management, from before conception through the postpartum period including appropriate contraception, is discussed. The goal of this review is to increase understanding of the importance of cardiac disease in pregnancy and encourage high-quality multidisciplinary care, and thus improve maternal and fetal outcomes.

B.: hohe Arbeitslosen- und Unterbesch ftigungsquoten, die Verlangsamung der Nachfrage, der R ckgang einiger Wirtschaftssektoren, die immer noch bestehende Abh ngigkeit vom lsektor und die Volatilit t der internationalen lpreise sowie der Verlust der Wettbewerbsf higkeit der Exporte, der sich in der Aufwertung des realen Wechselkurses zeigt. Zu diesem Zweck wird die qualitative Methode angewandt, um mittels einer zuvor strukturierten Umfrage Informationen zu sammeln, die es uns erm glichen, die Meinung der B rger ber die Ursachen der Wirtschaftskrise des Landes zu erfahren.

L'obiettivo di questa ricerca analizzare la crisi economica politica e sociale dell'Ecuador dal 1998 al 2018, al fine di comprendere le pi importanti variabili macroeconomiche che influenzano l'economia del Paese, come l'inflazione, il Prodotto Interno Lordo, le entrate fiscali, il prezzo del petrolio e la disoccupazione. L'Ecuador non ha fatto progressi in questo decennio, come ad esempio: l'esistenza di alti tassi di disoccupazione e sottoccupazione, il rallentamento della domanda, il declino di alcuni settori dell'economia, la dipendenza ancora esistente dal settore petrolifero e la volatilit dei prezzi internazionali del petrolio, nonch la perdita di competitivit delle esportazioni, dimostrata nell'apprezzamento del tasso di cambio reale. A tal fine, si utilizzer il metodo qualitativo per raccogliere informazioni attraverso un sondaggio precedentemente strutturato, che ci permetter di conoscere l'opinione dei cittadini sulle cause che influenzano la crisi economica del Paese.
