The book fills the existing gap in the literature on clean and hydrogen combustion technologies for industrial applications. This gas is created due to the absence of a comprehensive textbook that covers such kinds of developments. This book can be used as a textbook for graduate-level courses in the areas of clean and hydrogen combustion and as a reference book for short courses to be o?ered to mechanical and aerospace engineers and young researchers worldwide. The book chapters consider investigating clean and hydrogen combustion techniques for different applications based on experimental measurements along with detailed numerical simulations. Detailed descriptions of the different numerical models are presented for given applications to solve for the flow/flame fields, which are very important, especially for beginners and undergraduate students in the fields of clean and hydrogen combustion.

Ahmet Midhat Efendi's famous 1875 novel Felâtun Bey and Râkim Efendi takes place in late nineteenth-century Istanbul and follows the lives of two young men who come from radically different backgrounds. Râkim Efendi is an erudite, self-made man, one who is ambitious and cultivated enough to mingle with a European crowd. In contrast, Felâtun Bey is a spendthrift who lacks intellectual curiosity and a strong work ethic. Squandering his wealth and education, he leads a life of decadence. The novel traces Râkim and Felâtun's relationships with multiple characters, charting their romances and passions, as well as their foibles and amusing mishaps as they struggle to find and follow their own path through the many temptations and traps of European culture. The author creates a rich portrait of stratified Ottoman life through a diverse and colorful cast of characters-from a French piano teacher and an Arab nanny, to a Circassian slave girl-each deftly navigating the shifting mores of their social class. Written during the Ottoman Empire's uneasy transition to modernity, the novel's protagonists embody both the best and worst elements of two worlds, European and Ottoman. The novel provides readers with an elegant yet powerful appeal for progressive reforms and individual freedoms. Levi and Ringer's fluid translation of this Ottoman classic stands as a landmark in the history of Turkish literature in translation.

This book provides an interdisciplinary critical perspective regarding risk, uncertainty and governance challenges of cryptocurrencies. It considers the perspectives of several disciplines including accounting, cybersecurity, cyberlaw, economics, ethics, finance, financial regulation, Shariah (Islamic) law and technology. Different from other books on a similar topic, this book's in-depth analysis and critical discourse on cryptocurrency risk categories are supplemented by research evidence gathered from surveys and interviews with stakeholders. The inclusion of an Islamic insight matters given mixed views at present regarding the permissibility of cryptocurrencies and some countries have indeed imposed somewhat restricted functions of cryptocurrencies for non-religious reasons. It is envisaged that this book will help enlighten stakeholders on this aspect of uncertainty and inspire fit and proper governance strategies for the public interest.

Grief Is a Love Language is a collection of poetry that behaves like a novel, telling the story of a young woman dealing with the earth-shattering pain of loss and the painstaking healing process of recreating yourself in the wake of it. It shows us everything we learn from grief when we allow it to teach us, exploring love, mental health, family, self-love, and trauma along the way. It does all of this with unflinching honesty, through the lens of incredibly vivid and mesmerizing imagery. No emotion goes unexplored here, and each is masterfully expressed.

"I did my best. Life has not been easy." she would say out loud to the birds flying in the dusky sky. Just as pain and suffering are a part of life, so is happiness. It is possible to find that niche again. She was taught as a child to search for answers, but there are no explanations for certain things and there was no point in asking 'why'. All answers cannot be found in one lifetime.

"Move over Walt Longmire. Make room for Franz Kafka, aka 'K.' Expertly plotted, beautifully written, eloquent, colloquial, wry, insightful . . . Medhat demonstrates a keen sense of place and Navajo culture and history, with superior attention to language; smart, witty, often humorous and always precise analogies, metaphors, and similes. A sharp eye for detail and sprachgefuhl for putting observations into words. Style, grace, a confident, compelling, and controlled narrative voice. The sophisticated narration dances from omniscient to close-third without any false steps or trips. A very smooth operator, this writer. The characters glide off the page. This book is a high-wire act, and the author shines a bright, steady beam on the dark stage where clashing cultures meet."--Sara Pritchard, author of CrackpotsQuixotic cop Franz Kafka's small-town routine is disrupted by a mysterious death at Chimney Rock. Navajo cop Robbie Begay joins the murder investigation, which leads the mismatched duo across the reservation into the victim's fraught past, to associates living under the shadow of heinous crimes, cunningly camouflaged meth-merchants, and sweet-natured squash-growers. The killer, it turns out, is much closer to home.Katayoun Medhat was raised in Iran and Germany and studied anthropology in Berlin and London. Before training as an intercultural therapist, she worked in an adolescent psychiatric unit, which taught her much about human resilience. For her PhD in medical anthropology, she researched mental health and alcohol rehab services on the Navajo Nation, and along the way learned to appreciate the healing power of humor as life force.

"Why these novels aren't on the way to a Netflix studio right now is beyond me. Whoever gets to play detective Franz Kafka will have the role of a lifetime." - Mark Stevens, Author of the Allison Coil Mystery seriesThe Mesa, eyrie of the ancient Pueblan ancestors casts its shadow over small-town Milagro, where old-time ranchers and thrusting incomers converge in a common cause: profiteering from the land. Owing to continuous advances in the computational power of handheld devices like smartphones and tablet computers, it has become possible to perform Big Data operations including modern data mining processes onboard these small devices. A decade of research has proved the feasibility of what has been termed as Mobile Data Mining, with a focus on one mobile device running data mining processes. However, it is not before 2010 until the authors of this book initiated the Pocket Data Mining (PDM) project exploiting the seamless communication among handheld devices performing data analysis tasks that were infeasible until recently. PDM is the process of collaboratively extracting knowledge from distributed data streams in a mobile computing environment. This book provides the reader with an in-depth treatment on this emerging area of research. Details of techniques used and thorough experimental studies are given. More importantly and exclusive to this book, the authors provide detailed practical guide on the deployment of PDM in the mobile environment. An important extension to the basic implementation of PDM dealing with concept drift is also reported. In the era of Big Data, potential applications of paramount importance offered by PDM in a variety of domains including security, business and telemedicine are discussed.

Cancer and the immune system share a complex relationship, where immune cells play dual roles in tumor progression and suppression. The immune system can detect and eliminate nascent tumor cells through immune surveillance, primarily driven by T cells, natural killer cells, and antigen-presenting cells. However, cancer often evades immune control through mechanisms such as immune checkpoint inhibition, regulatory T cell activation, and secretion of immunosuppressive factors. The advent of immunotherapy has revolutionized cancer treatment, employing strategies like immune checkpoint inhibitors, adoptive T cell therapy, and cancer vaccines. Despite significant successes, challenges remain, including immune resistance, treatment toxicity, and limited efficacy in certain cancers.Future directions emphasize personalized medicine, combination therapies, and the development of novel biomarkers to predict treatment response. Understanding tumor-immune interactions at molecular and cellular levels is key to overcoming existing challenges and harnessing immunity for more effective cancer therapies.
