February 24th, 1991: It's the first day of the ground war in Operation Desert Storm. To support the massive attack, an eight man US Army Special Forces team is inserted 150 miles inside Iraq to covertly reconnoiter a key highway connecting Baghdad and Kuwait. The members of the team--designated "Operational Detachment Alpha-525"-are known among their peers as "The Sharkmen." This is their first combat mission in Desert Storm. If this had been a perfect mission no one would have known they were there. They would have dropped in, done their job for a week, then exited under cover and returned to base. In 1989, the ISO Standard 8613 "Office Document Architecture (ODA) and Interchange Format" was published. The Standard is intended for the interchange of documents in an Open Systems environment. ISO 8613 is technically identical to the CCITT Recommendations of the T.410 series called "Open Document Architecture (ODA) and Interchange Format" published in 1988. Almost all major companies in the office automation and telecommunication area are currently developing products based on this Standard. In this book, all important aspects of the presently publishedeight parts of the Standard are discussed. The book provides a comprehensiveand detailed introduction to the technical specifications of ISO 8613 and the concepts on which these specifications are based, including the extensions which were added to the ODA Standard in 1991. The book isprimarily addressed to readers who want to investigate the applicability of the Standard for their document interchange problems, plan to acquire products based on the Standard, or intend to develop document processingsystems conforming to the Standard.

Die Studie befasst sich mit der Wirksamkeit der ODA in Ruanda von 2014/2015 bis 2019/2019. Sie verfolgte zwei Ziele: (i) den Grad der Wirksamkeit der ODA in Ruanda aufzuzeigen und (ii) den Versuch zu unternehmen, Ma nahmen vorzuschlagen, die die Wirksamkeit der ODA in Ruanda verbessern k nnten. Die angewandte Methodik umfasste Dokumentations- und Interviewtechniken, analytische, synthetische und vergleichende Methoden. Es wurden Prim r- und Sekund rdaten von den untersuchten Institutionen wie MINECOFIN, MINAFFET, BNR, PRIMATURE, MINICOM, der Weltbank, dem IWF, der OECD, dem DAC und einigen in Ruanda akkreditierten diplomatischen Vertretungen verwendet. Die Studie bezog sich vor allem auf die f nf Prinzipien der Pariser Erkl rung von 2005, aber auch auf andere Kriterien. Die Studie kam zu dem Schluss, dass sich die Wirksamkeit der ODA angesichts der sozio konomischen Lage der Bev lkerung auf einem sehr niedrigen Niveau befindet: ODA wird seit den 1960er Jahren gegeben, aber Ruanda steht auch 2020 noch auf Platz 18 der rmsten L nder der Welt. Die ODA hat ihre Ziele in Ruanda also nicht erreicht, da sie das Land nicht entwickelt hat. Das BIP-Wachstum kam generell nur den Wohlhabenden zugute.

The study focuses on the effectiveness of ODA in Rwanda from 2014/2015 to 2019/2019. It had two objectives: (i) To show the degree of effectiveness of ODA in Rwanda and (ii) To try to suggest measures that could improve the effectiveness of ODA in Rwanda. The methodology used includes documentary and interview techniques, analytical, synthetic and comparative methods. Primary and secondary data from surveyed institutions such as MINECOFIN, MINAFFET, BNR, PRIMATURE, MINICOM, World Bank, IMF, OECD, DAC and some diplomatic missions accredited to Rwanda were used. The study referred mainly to the 5 principles of the 2005 Paris Declaration but also to other criteria. The study concluded that the effectiveness of ODA is at a very low level given the socio-economic situation of the population: ODA has been given since the 1960s but Rwanda remains the 18th poorest country in the world in 2020. ODA has therefore not achieved its objectives in Rwanda because it has not developed the country. GDP growth has only benefited the wealthiest in general.

This volume in Oxford Medieval Text contains Eadmer's Lives of Saints Oda, Dunstan, and Oswald, as well as the Miracles of Dunstan and Oswald. These three English saints, together with Æthelwold of Winchester, were key figures in the Benedictine revival of the tenth century, which saw a flowering of Anglo-Saxon religious, artistic, and literary culture. Eadmer of Canterbury (c.1060-c.1130), the secretary, confidant, and biographer of Saint Anselm, Archbishop of Canterbury (1033-1109), was one of the most important historians and biographers in the period after the Norman Conquest. His works, written in Latin, look back constantly to the Anglo-Saxon past, while at the same time they accurately reflect the present-day realities of the wider European society into which England had been forcibly integrated. Manuscripts of his Lives of the Saints circulated widely in both in England and France, but apart from his Life of Anselm they have been little studied, and have remained largely untranslated. The works newly edited and translated in this edition provide many insights into the wider political history of the pre- and post-Conquest periods, as well as important evidence for the cults of the saints in Canterbury and Worcester.
