This is a true story of my unhappy childhood. I prayed to the Angels to make me lovable so my mother would stop beating me. I prayed they would send me someone who would love me. My mother died when I was six and I went to live with my Aunt and Uncle. No more beatings. My father remarried. My stepmother was kind but not affectionate- nor was my father. While in high school I met the young man who I knew instantly, was meant to be my husband. His family lovingly welcomed me into their lives. We had a wonderful marriage and the first 18 years of my life no longer mattered. Then my dear, sweet husband got Alzheimer's and now he is gone.
