Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is the most important staple food consumed by more than sixty per cent of the world population. In south Gujarat, rice crop is cultivated during kharif as well as in summer season. Rice seeds after harvesting are stored for next year; the seed-infecting fungi are one of the important constraints for the rice seeds during storage. Infected seeds germinate poorly and could be a major source of inoculum for new crops raised from them.studied in the association of seed mycoflora during storage and its effect on germination, vigour index with different packaging materials and seed treatments on popular varieties of rice. The seeds samples of five rice varieties, GR-4, GNR-3, GNR-4, Gurjari and NAUR-1 were used to know the association of seed mycoflora on the seeds of popular varieties of rice during the short term storage.

Polymeric gel systems have been widely used for excessive water management in recent years for enhanced oil recovery applications These gels have been proved useful for profile control and reducing excess water production from hydrocarbon-bearing reservoirs. There are three common methods to improve water shut-off performance, which are increasing the viscosity of the flooding fluid, reducing the permeability of high-permeability streaks present in the reservoir and increasing the permeability of low-permeable zones. Among all water control processes, chemical water shut-off treatment is one which has shown its feasibility and practicality in oilfields for decades. Polymeric gel systems are usually composed of a water-soluble polymer or monomer crosslinked with an organic or inorganic crosslinker.
