Terry's Letters from Vietnam
Terry graduated from the Wellsville High School in 1965, and he went on to obtain a two year degree from Alfred State College in 1967. In the Fall of 1967 the United States military drafted228,263 men, including Terry, as part of the Vietnam War draft. It was on January 5th, 1968 that Terry reported to Fort Dix in New Jersey to begin his basic training. He then continued his training at Fort Polk and Fort Knox. Finally, in June of 1968 Terry began his tour of duty in Vietnam at the Bien Hoa Air Base. Terry served the Army in two different roles while in Vietnam. During the day he served in the Finance Division, and at night his Division was assigned guard duty to protect the air base on a rotating basis. The 216 letters contained within this book were written primarily for our parents. I am sure that Terry was very careful with what he shared with our parents in these letters, so that he wouldn't make them worry too much. I never realized that our mom had saved these letters in a shoe box. Terry passed away on October 26, 2022. In January of 2023 I began working on a memory book for Terry. Terry's daughter Stephanie had contacted me because she had come across a shoebox in her mom's basement that contained the letters that Terry had written to his mom and dad during the Vietnam War. I had asked Stephanie if she would share them with me, so I could scan each page of the 216 letters that were written over 53 years ago

Sir Terry Pratchett's ingeniously upended tale of the Pied Piper, has a roving band of highly intelligent rats as its heroic protagonists. Matthew Holmes' script and songs capture the plot in a captivating musical for children to perform and everyone to enjoy. Under the lazily, streetwise command of Maurice, a speaking cat, the rats prepare to pull their practiced scam on the town of Bad Blintz. But something's up and our heroes are scampering straight into someone else's scam – and it's not nice. Perfect for upper primary school performances, there are parts small and large for rats – heroic, villainous and oppressed – for humans on the good side and the bad, and of course for a cat named Maurice. The complete performance pack with its photocopiable script and piano vocal score includes everything you need for rehearsing and presenting the final show, plus there's full audio support on CD so you don't need to read a note of music. To present a public performance of this musical you will need a performance licence. Simply email [email protected] or phone 01484 668 148 and request a Performance Licence Application Form.

Sir Terry Pratchett's enquiring adventure into time travel has its young teen hero, Johnny Maxwell, and his friends confronted with their own bomb-stricken street in WWII. Can they change history and avert the catastrophe? Matthew Holmes' script and song superbly support the plot in a musical for young people to perform and everyone to enjoy. Johnny and his friends travel back in time to their own street, site of a bombing raid intended for a nearby industrial complex. 'Collateral damage' is not the only disturbing issue: what happens to the present if you try to save lives in the past? Serious subjects, but with Terry Pratchett there's always the humour as well, and the musical includes a host of likeable characters. Matthew Holmes' script skilfully carries the plot along in Terry Pratchett style and his music swings to contemporary pop and the glorious sound of the forties Big Band.

Terry Bradshaw made a name for himself as the star quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, winning four Super Bowls and twice earning the MVP award. Beyond his athletic success, Bradshaw has established himself as a true cultural icon through his ventures into television, movies, and music. In Terry Bradshaw: From Super Bowl Champion to Television Personality, Brett L. Abrams details the many personas of this larger-than-life entertainer. Not satisfied with “just” being a star quarterback, Bradshaw became an actor, commercial pitchman, country western and gospel singer, color commentator, and NFL pregame co-host. In addition to covering Bradshaw’s life and career, Abrams discusses the stereotypes Bradshaw faced and his ability to turn those preconceived notions into a positive, likeable, “down home” image that enabled him to find success across the entertainment industries. Ultimately, Bradshaw has become not only an iconic sports figure, but a cultural icon, as well. Terry Bradshaw delivers a new and refreshing look at one of football’s most-recognized athletes. Drawing on extensive research and interviews with coaches, friends, coworkers, and football fans, this book illuminates Bradshaw’s celebrity status in the context of nearly 50 years of interacting with football fans and the larger American pop culture.
