After a career change, he became a deputy sheriff and an occasional bounty hunter. Because of his special gifts, he became a paladin bounty hunter, capturing the worst evil murderers and bringing them to justice-dead or alive. After marrying a modern schoolteacher, he settled down on the family ranch and converted it to a commercial crop harvesting enterprise, using the implements of the times. The story provides the modern day-to-day experiences of those living in the American West during the 1880s, before the industrial revolution. It has plenty of gunplay, romance, and action to keep all readers of Western fiction interested to the end.
