U May B The Only Bible Somebody Reads: R U Legible?
How would you respond if you knew that people were reading you? Would you have a desire to inspire and influence, or would this knowledge make no difference? The answer to these questions will not make you or break you, but they will reveal you; Your character. Your conduct. Your conversation. Since we are hardwired to "read"-whether observing, scrutinizing, or analyzing-you can automatically assume your "cover and content" are being read. With that being said, R U LEGIBLE?In U MAY B THE ONLY BIBLE SOMEBODY READS, Maher explicitly communicates the clearest doctrine every person publishes is his own example. Using personal legible and illegible experiences from his own life, as well as innovative and practical insights, Maher stimulates the reader to interactively read knowing they too will be read outside the pages. With the 11 unique laws of biblical influence introduced in this book, learn how to discern and leverage influence to the watchful "I's" around you.An individual may have no clue what is printed between Genesis and Revelation, but the truth is-the genesis of your conviction dictates the revelation (unveiling) of your gospel. The message you're putting out. Therefore, if you claim to be a believer, would anyone want to be a follower of Jesus Christ based on the way you live your life?"Example prospers or plunders based on conduct," says Maher, "And your depth of character will determine your length of influence. Apply the truths in this book and you'll be a legible presentation of the Christ. Violate the truths in this book and you'll be illegible--a contradiction of Christ. The choice is yours. Let the Bible revival begin inside of you."

What May Have Been is a novel in letters exchanged between the artist Jackson Pollock and his fictional lover, a young woman called Dori G.Susan Tepper and Gary Percesepe have created a sexy and luminous love story that takes place sometime during the late 1940's, in that sandy wonderland at the eastern tip of Long Island known as The Hamptons.Advance Praise for What May Have Been"In this extraordinary novel, Pollock tells his lover that things like paint and wives are very small in the scheme of things. Gary Percesepe and Susan Tepper show how the great scheme of things is, in fact, in literary art, captured in paint and wives and a Montauk surf and a silky scarf and narrow hips and a cold water flat and a used Ford. Brilliantly conceived, brilliantly executed, this is a stunning book about art and about life."-Robert Olen Butler, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of A Good Scent from a Strange Mountain"The fictional letters between Pollock and an imaginary Dori G come out in a hailstorm of paint flecks, lockets, long looks, kisses, blowing sand. Dori sees Jackson in his distance and his nearing, and his return to her like the visit of one of the Greek gods to his mortal lover, as piercing and as fatal." -Mary Grimm, author of Left to Themselves and Stealing Time"How to convey the irresistible pleasures of this novel in letters? The language mimics the slashing, dramatic immediate heroic gestures of abstract expressionism, is an extraordinary act of poetic invention, and tells a sexy and doomed love story."-James Robison, author of The Illustrator and Rumors"These two fervent voices exude the splendor and gloom of adulterous love."-Mark Wisniewski, author of Confessions of a Polish Used Car Salesman

What are the cues we use to determine humanity? Have we been cutting actual humans too much slack in this department? This work explores notions of identity and AI, but is solely the work of humans. For what is the difference between a human seeking a scripted outcome and a script seeking a human outcome? Also, it's pretty funny.John Ira Thomas takes his metafictional TIRE series into the future and looks back at the same weird beliefs that continue to propel us. It's 2038 and John Ira Thomas is nowhere to be found. A new, legally-mandated issue of TIRE magazine must be written. Corley Tire Company decides to farm the project out to AntiJITBot, an AI programmed with all of Thomas' writings. The result is an entire issue of a New Age magazine, right down to the classified ads. Once again, this was written by actual humans. No mystery digits or nightmare palettes. It's just some good old-fashioned human fun with technological concepts that we're going to have to resolve.

Michael Glover's writes a poetry whose surface can be lightsome and almost casually, if not beguilingly, playful and direct. But the playfulness can be a deception. Laughter dries on the tongue. There is often a terrible uncertainty about the speaking voice, and a darkness about the themes the poems are exploring. The darkness of betrayal. The darkness of death. The darkness of never quite knowing where one stands. In short, the sands are forever shifting. This eighth collection, his first in five years, draws on a variety of themes and situations. It drifts on a boat in Canada. It constructs a quinoa cake from mere words and phrases. It scrutinises the films of the great improvisatory director John Cassavetes. It even picks apart the multifarious meanings of the word book itself. The influences are as generously widespread as the poems themselves, from Jorge Luis Borges to Archy and Mehitabel, from the lyrics of Edmund Spenser to the dramatic monologues of Robert Browning. In the past, Michael Glover's poetry collections have largely consisted of single poems, each one self-sufficient. This volume, by contrast, is organised into several sequences. The Quinoa Cake Recipe emerges from, and is a response to, long summer stays in Canada. Notes to Harris is a series of short poems in which one North American friend addresses another with a wry casualness. Under the Influence, a homage to Cassavetes, is spoken by a male character from a typical Cassavetes film, wayward and anguished: 'I am a raging bull of a man. I pulverise everything I look at.' In short, this is the widest-ranging and most accomplished collection that Michael Glover has ever written.

There are YA books, "new adult" books, and now finally a book about and for grown-ups CAPE MAY, a novel New Yorker Joanna Matthews is rapidly approaching 60 and desperate for a change. The last remotely daring thing she did-jumping into an unconventional marriage with her best friend Brian-happened 20 years ago. Now, their life's comfortable, if routine. Joanna craves more and begins pursuing her long-deferred dream: owning and running a bed & breakfast. She's captivated by Cape May, New Jersey, America's Oldest Seaside Resort. On the bus south, she meets a novelist, and is thunderstruck when she falls passionately in love for the first time. How will her late awakening affect the future and her three-decade relationship with Brian? "I loved Cape May...couldn't stop reading it More sparks than Nicholas, and more moving precisely because it has the ragged edges of reality." Susan Keith, Actress, Another World, One Life to Live, and Shana on Loving "Holly Caster has the deft ability to let us spy on her protagonist Joanna's life, love, frustration, guilt, and struggle to find that most elusive of life's qualities: happiness. She elegantly chronicles the messiness of human relationships, the painful search for self-fulfillment, and the capricious nature of second chances that are part of everyone's journey. Her characters are so achingly real that you will embrace them instantly, and you'll find you can't help rooting for them to find what they seek. Cape May is a captivating and rewarding read. Here's hoping for a sequel " Peter Danish, Award-Winning Author of The Tenor "This is a very romantic novel in the truest sense. The setting of Cape May is described in extreme detail and is utterly charming. If you are interested in a book about a love affair where the characters are 60 years old, this would be a great pick. After Michael finally kisses Joanna, it was nearly impossible to put down the book. The author uncovers every emotional aspect in the novel. The characters' feelings felt very real and justified." The May Flower, and Miscellaneous Writings (Esprios Classics)
Harriet Beecher Stowe (June 14, 1811 - July 1, 1896) was an American abolitionist and writer. Her novel Uncle Tom's Cabin (1852) showed the lives of African-Americans slaves. It was very popular as a novel and a play, and had a great influence in the United States and Britain, helping people who did not like slavery and making many people disagree with slavery. In 1850, the Stowe family moved to a house near the campus of Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. Calvin Stowe was teaching in the college. On March 9, 1850, Stowe wrote to the editor of the antislavery journal National Era. She told him that she was planning to write a story about slavery.
