Replacing the Traditional Physical Model ApproachComputational models offer promise in improving the modeling of shallow water flows. As new techniques are considered, the process continues to change and evolve. Modeling Shallow Water Flows Using the Discontinuous Galerkin Method examines a technique that focuses on hyperbolic conservation laws and includes one-dimensional and two-dimensional shallow water flows and pollutant transports. Combines the Advantages of Finite Volume and Finite Element MethodsThis book explores the discontinuous Galerkin (DG) method, also known as the discontinuous finite element method, in depth. It introduces the DG method and its application to shallow water flows, as well as background information for implementing and applying this method for natural rivers. It considers dam-break problems, shock wave problems, and flows in different regimes (subcritical, supercritical, and transcritical). Readily Adaptable to the Real WorldWhile the DG method has been widely used in the fields of science and engineering, its use for hydraulics has so far been limited to simple cases. The book compares numerical results with laboratory experiments and field data, and includes a set of tests that can be used for a wide range of applications. Provides step-by-step implementation details Presents the different forms in which the shallow water flow equations can be writtenPlaces emphasis on the details and modifications required to apply the scheme to real-world flow problemsThis text enables readers to readily understand and develop an efficient computer simulation model that can be used to model flow, contaminant transport, and other aspects in rivers and coastal environments. It is an ideal resource for practicing environmental engineers and researchers in the area of computational hydraulics and fluid dynamics, and graduate students in computational hydraulics.

Transition of Nations: A Time For A Universal Change addresses the question can Black America truly represent a new world of righteousness before or after the War of Armageddon. This book reminds the reader that such a new reality is possible if one studies the presence and examples of the members of the Nation of Islam's transitions from the year 1930 to present. Under the leadership of Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, the mentality of millions of men and women have growing a new way of comporting themselves. Both these men working inside North America and the world have influenced people of poor spirit into greatness, and uprightness, overcoming all opposition against the enemies of the rise of Gods Kingdom on Earth. The Transition of Nations: A TIME FOR UNIVERSAL CHANGE features some basic functions of Ministries of the Nation of Islam in minute facets along with other governmental features, concepts, civic duties. In addition, a general question and answer segment has been included to assure reader comprehension of various subjects. It will also provide common ideas about why a once lost people shall transition into The Best Nation by God's Permission. In summary, the transition from a slave people, to a Church-Temple-Mosque orientated people, to a community orientated people; then to a Nation oriented people has been a progressive divine agenda far beyond the comprehension of the average man and woman. This book gives you a peek into the window how an old world is going out and a new world will be established by millions of qualified people.
George W. Bush's and Barack H. Obama’s Foreign Policies toward Ghana
This book is the first of its kind to systematically compare the policies of George W. Bush and Barack H. Obama towards Ghana, with a focus on economic aid, military aid, and immigration. It examines George W. Bush and Barack H. Obama’s economic aid policies, military aid policies, and immigration policies towards Ghana to identify not only the significant differences between the approaches of the two administrations, but also the factors that influenced and exacerbated the difference in their approaches. The book is also significant in terms of its epistemological contributions to diplomatic praxes, the literature on United States foreign policy, and development theories.

Branches of Asanteism explores the epistemologies and research methodologies that have sprung from Mwalimu Molefi Kete Asante’s treatises on Afrocentricity. The book identifies and analyzes thirteen such epistemologies and methodologies while defining and explicating the various “branches” of Asante’s idea of Afrocentricity.

The first edition published in 2010. The response was encouraging and many people appreciated a book that was dedicated to quality management in construction projects. Since it published, ISO 9000: 2008 has been revised and ISO 9000: 2015 has published. The new edition will focus on risk-based thinking which must be considered from the beginning and throughout the project life cycle. There are quality-related topics such as Customer Relationship, Supplier Management, Risk Management, Quality Audits, Tools for Construction Projects, and Quality Management that were not covered in the first edition. Furthermore, some figures and tables needed to be updated to make the book more comprehensive.
