If you're anything like me, you want to be great. The trouble is, it is difficult. It's difficult because we're overwhelmed. Overwhelmed in our personal lives and overwhelmed with what is happening in public life. In public life, we see greed and selfishness permeating our politics and economics at home. Abroad, we see news of how bad the world is becoming: -Terrorism is a threat throughout the world. -The Middle East is in upheaval. -The African continent suffers from plagues and child soldier raids, starvation and malaria. -Russia is exerting their strong hand in Eastern Europe again. -The weather acts up and destroys entire islands in the Gulf or in Southeast Asia. Truly, it is a volatile global village in which we live. Then we look at our personal lives and wonder, "How can I put dinner on the table, finish the housework, get the kids to their activities, and still have a sliver of time for myself and my spouse in the evenings? Will I ever be able to gain control of my life, or will I constantly be living in reaction-mode?" Maybe you need a breath of fresh air, a dose of clarity, a goad to get you moving. It is obvious from the pages of "All Roads Lead to Jesus," Omer has struggled with the same questions and problems. But by facing the issues head-on, with a deep level of respect for history and for our human condition, Omer has taken us on a journey toward clarity, on a journey that connects the dots and gives meaning to it all. If this book doesn't goad you, if you don't feel inspired after reading it, we better check your pulse.

Restoring Climate Stability By Managing Ecological Disorder: A Non-Equilibrium Thermodynamic Approach To Climate Change
There is nothing more fundamental to thermodynamic science than the fact that order emerges out of chaos when energy flows through a constrained environment. The order produced is quantitatively related to the energy flow and to the characteristics of the constraints on the environment. Complex systems, like the ecosystems in the earth's biosphere, are the result of extensive ordering of system contents due to prolonged, continuous energy flow across system constraints. The earth constitutes a closed thermodynamic system that allows energy from the sun to flow across its surface, but contains enough mass so that matter cannot easily escape its gravity. Energy from the sun impacting the earth carries a modest amount of entropy (disorder), but energy radiating into outer space from the surface of the earth carries a huge amount. The difference between the disorder brought in by sunlight and the disorder rejected as heat results in a huge deficit of disorder on the earth's surface. This is the driving force that implements the growth of ordered systems on the planet.Living systems are exquisitely ordered. For such systems to emerge and grow requires a huge withdrawal of extracted entropy from the system. The heat balance of solar energy, that maintains the temperature of the earth, produces a huge imbalance of entropy which drives the earth in the direction of more and more complex ordered systems.Greater entropy deficits direct the earth system toward more and more complex ecosystem development. Carbon dioxide build up in the atmosphere constrains the extraction of entropy, reducing the entropy deficit, and forcing the earth to retain disorder, preventing the evolution of exquisitely ordered systems.Consumptive destruction of exquisitely ordered living systems eliminates order and turns it directly into disorder with the result that not only is entropy increased, but order is eliminated on the surface of the earth. Biomass is the accumulated product of long term energy flow across the surface of our planet. Its loss is more damaging to the dynamics of energy transfer than to energy retention and entropy production.Biomass controls the dynamics of energy transfer processes in earth systems maintaining the order of things in a far-from-equilibrium state that stabilizes energy flows and climates on the earth surface. Maintaining a sufficient reservoir of biomass in the mix of resilient materials on the earth's surface is critical to maintaining a livable environment and climate.Advances in methods of ecological engineering are pointing the way to stable, livable, sustainable ecosystems.
The Legends of Mountains & Seas: A Non-Bestiary Interpretation of Divination, Sorcery, Demigods, Gods, Religion, Immortality, Metamorphosis, Cosmology
Shan Hai Jing (The Legends of Mountains and Seas), commonly titled The Classic of Mountains and Seas or Guideways Through Mountains and Seas per Richard Strassberg, was a book that was juxtaposed to the later book Shui Jing (classic or canons on 137 rivers) written by Sang Qin of the Cao-Wei dynasty (220-265 A.D.). For the absurdities and strange things in the book, such as folklore monsters, weird animals, ancient clan genealogies and strange lands (i.e., terra incognita), scholars of different dynasties felt troublesome to determine the genre in the imperial bibliography. In the Manchu Qing dynasty, Ji Xiaolan treated the book as fiction; during the Republic of China, Lu Xun treated the book as sorcery; and subsequently, Yuan Ke treated the book as mythology. Anne Birrell, author of The Classic of Mountains and Seas, pointed out that the book was taken to be of different genre in history, such as geomancy, geography and cosmology, etc., with the Westerners and Japanese going astray in different directions as well, including the claims of cosmography per M. Nazin (1839), geography per L on de Risny (1890s), tribal peoples per Gustav Schlegel (1892), deities per Edward T. C. Werner (1923), materia medica per Bernard E. Read (1928-39), religious and medical per Ito Seiji (1969), ethnographic per R mi Mathieu, folk medicine per John William Schiffeler (1977, 1980), and gendered motif per Riccardo Francasso (1988), etc. Richard Strassberg treated the book as bestiary (2018). Today, in the context of China's assertion of the grandiose imperial past, the book was wrongly treated by the Chinese to be about ancient geological exploration records, a theme also seen in Henriette Mertz's Pale Ink (1958). The Legends of Mountains and Seas, which would be expounded in this book to be about two different kinds of fortune-telling, sorcery and divination, should not be taken as a Han-dynasty equivalent philosophical 'jing' canons or classic, i.e., longitude/28 lodges' asterism] learning edited by Confucius and his disciples, nor the nature of the derivative sets of interpretation and commentary books that were known as the Han dynasty 'wei' 'latitude' or "five planets' divination"] series, nor the 'chen-wei' (ch'an wei) prophecy and argot books (i.e., implicit prophecy or cryptology that Jacques Gernet called by esoteric commentaries). While the mountain part of the book could be termed 'guideways' as proposed by Yuan Ke and Richard Strassberg, the 'jing'-suffixed seas' components could not be qualified with this tag. The mountains' part was actually the ancient Shi-fa stalk divination. The Legends of Mountains and Seas was compiled by Liu Xin (53 BC - 23 AD). The book, totaling 18 chapters nowadays, apparently developed the different contents throughout the Zhou, Qin, Han and Jinn dynasties. It was deduced that Liu Xin combined the five chapters of the book on the "mountains" (Wu Zang San Jing) with the chapters on the " over-]seas" contents to become a consolidated mountains and seas' book. The seas or overseas' components could be further separated into two groups, i.e., the "inner seas" and the "outer seas" sections that were compiled by Liu Xin and the "within-seas" and the "overseas wilderness" sections that were possibly collected by Guo Pu (A.D. 276-324), with the former two sections possibly synchronizing with the Han empire's military expansion, and the latter two sharing similar contents as Lian-shan Yi (divination on concatenated undulating] mountain ranges), Gui-cang Yi (returning-to-earth hoarding divination), A.D. 279 Ji-zhong tomb divination texts, and the 1993 Wangjiatai excavated divination texts.

By providing teachers with a practical intervention program to prevent bullying in their schools, this book gives the reader tried and tested strategies to tackle a very challenging problem. Creating a safe school environment where pupils feel secure is increasingly difficult, but this book shows how to devise a strategy, put it into practice, measure its effectiveness and extend the good practice into the wider community. The involvement of young people is a key element of this process. With its roots firmly in practice, the book is based on a study of' common characteristics of schools that have successfully reduced bullying; case studies that show how change can be achieved; raising whole-school awareness of the problem; how to tackle bullying as a whole-school issue; involving the students and the student council; delivering in-service training to colleagues. Primary and secondary school teachers, the school management team, learning mentors, teaching assistants and governors will find the guidance clear and suggested approaches helpful.

It is time for the church to return to her first love and give back to God all the praise that is rightfully due to Him. I'm sad to even say that the church has become dull and unattractive, because of the familiarity. Most churches, including the pastors that lead them have become so familiar with God until they only expect Him to do certain things in the services. Week after week, the services remain the same and nothing new will happen. In some cases, a regular worship service, a conference and a revival have no differences. God has commissioned me to prepare the church to return to her first love and recondition herself as the Bride of Christ. God wants the church to know that He is unpleased with her current state; moreover, the way we praise Him. If God measured how He would bless us, based upon our level of praise, our blessings would be pretty slim. The more you praise him, the more blessings He bestows upon you. Thankful people are blessed people. This book is written to encourage, inspire and instruct the church of God to return to praising God the way He instructs us to in Psalm 150. Everyone, everywhere, is supposed to praise God. Saint or sinner, if you have breath, you should be praising God. The problem is that we, as a nation of people and as the church, have become unthankful and unappreciative; therefore, we cheat God of His due praise. In some churches, not only is God cheated of His due praise, but also the praises of God are strictly prohibited (Prevented or Hindered).
