Daisy was living her dream, literally. She had already established her garden centre, Daisy's Dream, and had a scholarship to study Horticulture at University. She had the support of her loving family, plus she had been in a steady relationship with Kyle Fielding for over 7 years. It wasn't 'if' they would marry, but 'when'.Why Kyle was working with the Australian Army Communications as part of his Honours Degree, he was seconded for a special operations mission overseas. After several months he was injured when the convoy in which he was travelling clipped a land mine. He received extensive damage to his legs and it was not known if he would ever walk again. Kyle felt he had let Daisy down, and he didn't want to be a burden so told her he'd changed his mind and no longer wanted to be saddled with a home-body and a small town when he could have an international career.Daisy's mother and grandmother didn't want a third generation of women to suffer at the hands of war as both their husbands had been killed in active duty. They believed it was best for her to let Kyle go, especially as Daisy had begun her Uni degree and a dashing young professor was very keen to support her.Is love stronger than war, and will Daisy and Kyle finally have "Perfect' as their wedding song?

And one of the five has known this all along. As the weekend unfolds, the truth threatens to finally be revealed…They all wanted Daisy dead, but one wanted it more. The question is…who? And why?

But when the real owner lays claim to the gold, she loses everything, including her fickle, new friends. Can Daisy find it in herself to start over? With Cavan's help, the sea captain's ghost, and her granny's quilt to point the way, the quest for more gold is soon underway. But when a priest ends up dead and a pirate takes up the search, Daisy may have to learn the hard way that gold can be a blessing, or gold can be a curse. No one can be more sensible than is the Author that the present is an overgrown book of a nondescript class, neither the "tale" for the young, nor the novel for their elders, but a mixture of both. Begun as a series of conversational sketches, the story outran both the original intention and the limits of the periodical in which it was commenced; and, such as it has become, it is here presented to those who have already made acquaintance with the May family, and may be willing to see more of them. It would beg to be considered merely as what it calls itself, a Family Chronicle-a domestic record of home events, large and small, during those years of early life when the character is chiefly formed, and as an endeavour to trace the effects of those aspirations which are a part of every youthful nature. That the young should take one hint, to think whether their hopes and upward-breathings are truly upwards, and founded in lowliness, may be called the moral of the tale. For those who may deem the story too long, and the characters too numerous, the Author can only beg their pardon for any tedium that they may have undergone before giving it up.

"Oi, that flower belongs to me " When Amie Green picks a daisy from an overgrown lawn, it never occurs to her that it could spark such a row. Neither did she expect that it would ignite romantic feelings for the hot tempered man in the blue house. But, before long, it's clear that Harry and his Irish wolfhound aren't quite what they seem. What tremendous secret are they guarding? And is Amie brave anough to follow her heart into the unknown? In the first part of the Between series, we're transported down a mysterious, misty river to a universe wrought out of magic and myth, where enchanted princes battle monstruous queens and evil creatures. Standing up to the mother-in-law from hell, an unlikely heroine proves that love can move mountains - or at least a tiny sliver of the universe. Splendidly skilled, author Zenka Wistram builds an atmosphere of old folklore, drawing upon Irish, Scandinavian, and Native American mythology, creating an original, epic adventure, wholly her own.
