Funny, tender, and moving, "The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry "reminds us all exactly why we read and why we love. * A. J. Fikry s life is not at all what he expected it to be. He lives alone, his bookstore is experiencing the worst sales in its history, and now his prized possession, a rare collection of Poe poems, has been stolen. But when a mysterious package appears at the bookstore, its unexpected arrival gives Fikry the chance to make his life over--and see everything anew. This novel has humor, romance, a touch of suspense, but most of all love--love of books and bookish people and, really, all of humanity in its imperfect glory. Eowyn Ivey, author of "The Snow Child" Marvelously optimistic about the future of books and bookstores and the people who love both. "The Washington Post" You won t want it to end. "Family Circle" A natural for book groups. "Richmond Times-Dispatch" A reader s paradise of the first order. "The Buffalo News" A fun, page-turning delight. "Minneapolis Star Tribune" Captures the joy of connecting people and books . . . Irresistible. "Booklist" A wonderful, moving, endearing story of redemption and transformation that will sing in your heart for a very, very long time. Garth Stein, author of "The Art of Racing in the Rain" Readers who delighted in "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, " "The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, " and "Letters from Skye "will be equally captivated by this novel. *"Library Journal, " starred review"

This book sets out to answer the call for the historic turn in organization studies through the development of an alternative methodology for history, one that we call ANTi-History. In responding to that call, this book contributes generally to the broad critique of the ahistorical nature of management and organization theory, but more specifically it sets out to address the need for more historicized research and in particular, alternative ways of writing and conceptualizing history. The application and theoretical development of ANTi-History is explored through the performance of a series of histories of Pan American Airways.

Writing has been a direct connection from me to God. When a friend saw my poetry book she started reading it and said she couldn't put it down. She encouraged me to do something with it; I was seventeen then. Now that I have several more poetry books, I prayed and feel that this is what the Lord wants me to do. It's one of my greatest passions, next to ministry and cooking. I pray this book ministers to you and helps you heal, restore, encourage, motivate and captures attention. Let the words sink and revive you, so that after you're done reading this book, it will feel like you have just taken a breath of fresh air. There is something in here for everyone. If you enjoy reading "A Word Fitly Spoken", there is more to come. One thing I have noticed about poetry is writers create it when they're in deep depression and those poems end up making you feel the same way you felt when you started reading them. So I have decided I would never end a poem or song on a down-beat, but always on a high note. Being the praise and worship leader, I find that sometimes in order to get to the next level, we have to encourage ourselves in the Lord. As you read my book, please don't just browse it -- think and ponder on it and remember it. Let the joy of the Lord be your strength. There's something in here for every mood I'm in, and if you can apply it to your life it will help you just the way it helped me. I hope and pray you enjoy it and will be looking for my other books. Thank you for supporting me and my dreams

Too Many Seeds contains poems that explore food and nourishment in its complex glory as experienced through farm, kitchen, and food factory work as well as more metaphorical ways of feeding the soul. Discover an invisible food economy which many of us are not aware of. From being in the fields on a small farm, to the gassed, sanitized, and inspected world of a dried fruit factory, to kitchen and catering work, Too Many Seeds takes us on a journey with food production, particularly focused on what this means in America. The poems present intimate snapshots and explorations on how food comes to us and carefully considers how we tend to the earth, others we are in community with as well as ourselves, and what that means for our nourishment. Juan Felipe Herrera, former U.S. Poet Laureate, writes: "Gabrielle Myers does not shy away from a kind of post-mod naturalism, where we can taste things, see things, and even - I dare say - touch their 'opalescent crisp skin.' Although world-stuff and social-stuff shifts and is disassembled in the scenic constructions of her poetics, she manages a lush 21st century personal pointillism. Most lovely, most alluring."
