Instruments are used to examine, clean, cut, and restore teeth. The main types are either hand-held or rotary instruments driven in a handpiece. Operative dentistry as an art employs the appropriate use of tool with the proper kind of abrasive and cutting or polishing agent to accomplish a given task. In order to properly prepare a cavity, the tooth tissues, enamel and dentin must be excised with specific instruments in an efficiently ordered sequence. Most cavity preparations require the use of both rotary and hand instruments. Their use demands a sound knowledge of the equipment and instruments without which the optimum effect of these instruments will not be achievable. Familiarity with the design, handling and application of different instruments will enable the dental professionals to develop the high degree of technical skill that is necessary to perform quality restorative treatment. For improved working and increased efficiency it is necessary to have a sound knowledge about the cutting instruments and their application.

The complicated chemical reactions involved in the production of the newer drug delivery systems have mainly impeded efforts to build successful targeted drug delivery systems for a prolonged duration of time. Nanosponges, a recently created colloidal system, have the potential to overcome issues with medication toxicity, decreased bioavailability, and drug release over a wide area because they can be modified to work with both hydrophilic and hydrophobic types of drugs. Nanosponges are small-sized with a three-dimensional network having a porous cavity. They can be prepared easily by crosslinking cyclodextrins with different compounds. Due to Cyclodextrin's outstanding biocompatibility, stability, and safety, many Cyclodextrin-based drug delivery systems have been developed promptly. The nanosponge drug delivery system possesses various applications in various ailments such as cancer, autoimmune diseases, theranostic applications, enhanced bioavailability, stability, etc. This review elaborates on benefits and drawbacks, preparation techniques, factors affecting their preparation, characterization techniques, applications, and most current developments in nanosponges.

One of the main challenges faced by the Hospital Infection Control Service is monitoring healthcare professionals' adherence to hand hygiene. This study seeks to find out and collect data on the issue involving the multidisciplinary health team in terms of preventing hospital infections in a hospital unit, based on studies that show that many infections can be prevented by the simple act of hand washing. The initial purpose of this work is to carry out a literature review, complemented by field research. This is a descriptive, quantitative case study that was carried out in the adult intensive care unit over a period of five weeks. Ninety ICU health professionals were observed over a period of five weeks for 1.5 hours each in various shifts - always during the day at the start of each shift - at two points in time: Before and after contact with the patient. This data will be tabulated and then analysed using check sheets and questionnaires validated by WHO PAHO.
