The purpose of this book is to help the reader find that power that they possess within and to look within for that message from God. This book will open your eyes to the true and living I am, which is you. With some verses I used from the Bible, you will read and study scriptures differently. My purpose is for you to see yourself in the words. To see yourself as the Christ and to know when you begin to do this your life will change. Learning to overcome fear and doubt, understand that there is only one power that is good and fear is only an illusion.

"After reading two or three paragraphs the hair of my head stood up. Nothing like this was ever seen or known from any heretic or disbeliever of this world . . . and it certainly deserves to be burned." The Hebrew Kabbalistic text called I Came This Day to the Spring (Va-avo ha-Yom el ha-'Ayin) created a scandal among the Jewish communities of Central Europe when it surfaced, in manuscript, in 1725. It was obviously linked to the cult of Sabbatai Zevi, the would-be Messiah who drove the Jewish world wild with excitement in 1665 and converted to Islam the following year. Its author was the brilliant young rabbi Jonathan Eibeschuetz (1695-1764), soon to become one of the foremost preachers and rabbinic authorities of the era. Now, for the first time, Eibeschuetz's extraordinary book--a charter for the world religion of the future, rooted in Kabbalistic Judaism but unlike any religion ever known--is available in English translation, by a leading scholar of Judaism and its Kabbalah. It is not easy reading. But David Halperin's full annotations will give readers the guiding thread they need to follow Eibeschuetz on his amazing journey "to the spring of wisdom"--and beyond.

My Grandpa Said I Can is a heartfelt children's story about courage, confidence, and culture. When Ila and Brendon feel unsure about trying new sports where few people look like them, Grandpa steps in with wisdom, warmth, and a walk through powerful moments in Black history. This inspiring story is penned by Tyrus Hinton-a proud husband, father, grandfather, pastor, and community leader who has dedicated his life to building others up. With faith-filled encouragement, he reminds children (and adults too) that they come from a legacy of excellence-and they can do anything they set their hearts and hands to. Tyrus's mission is clear: to pass down the power of belief and to ignite purpose in the next generation. This book is his love letter to every child who's ever felt unsure, reminding them that with God, family, and faith-they can do more than just play the game... they can change it.

Howard J. Kogan is a retired psychotherapist now living in Ashland, Massachusetts with his wife, Libby. His years of retirement have provided him with the opportunity to return to narrative poetry. His poems have appeared in Still Crazy, Occu-poetry, Poetry Ark, Naugatuck River Review, Jewish Currents Anthology, Literary Gazette, Pathways, Up the River, Point Mass Anthology, Misfit Magazine, Flair, The American Jewish World, and Award Winning Poems from Smith's Tavern Poet Laureate Contest (2010 and 2011 Editions). His other books of poems, Indian Summer and A Chill in the Air, are available from Square Circle Press. His chapbook, General Store Poems, published by Benevolent Bird Press in 2014, is available from the author. About his writing he says, "After setting aside writing poetry in my twenties to attend to family and career, I returned to it in my sixties. I'm grateful to have this opportunity to return to an early love and give voice to the inner thoughts, perceptions, and memories that have been my constant and (mostly) welcome companions. Readers familiar with my earlier publications will see some of the same themes continued: family and friends, the so-called real and imaginary world I inhabit, and increasingly as I age, poems about aging and death. I wrote these poems for you, to engage and seduce you, to draw you close so I would feel less alone."
