Trends im Zusammenhang mit sozialer und ökologischer Nachhaltigkeit sind nicht nur in vielen Kommunikationsmedien präsent, sondern haben mittlerweile ihren festen Stellenplatz in zahlreichen Unternehmen und nicht zuletzt auch in den jeweiligen Marketingabteilungen. Es stellt sich die Frage, wie mit einem solchen Trend umgegangen werden kann. Welchen Weg wählt man als Unternehmen, um einem bei den Kon- menten verankerten sozialen und ökologischen Bewusstsein gerecht zu w- den? Mögliche zu beobachtende Antworten auf diese Fragen sind die Einri- tung einer Corporate Social Responsibility Abteilung, sogenanntes Sozi- sponsoring, die Schaffung transparenter Produktionsmethoden oder die E- wicklung von Bio-Produkten. Neben der Wahl einer geeigneten Form des Engagements besteht die H- ausforderung darin, dem Konsumenten die zu vermittelnde Botschaft nahe- bringen. Denn schließlich wird das Ziel verfolgt, ein positives Bild des Unt- nehmens zu kommunizieren, das sich entsprechend auf das Kaufverhalten des Konsumenten auswirken soll. Der „Return of Investment“ stellt auch im Bereich des sozialen Engagements keine Ausnahme dar. Das vorliegende Werk untersucht daher anhand sogenannter sozialer Werbekampagnen verschiedene Komponenten, die sich deterministisch auf die Kaufabsicht eines Konsumenten auswirken. Neben der Erstellung eines empirisch überprüften Kausal-Modells werden schließlich strategische Ha- lungsempfehlungen für eine erfolgreiche Umsetzung einer solchen Kampagne abgeleitet. Ce travail vise contribuer la p rennisation des dispositifs de couverture sanitaire universelle en proposant des mod les de minimisation des d viances comportementales dans le d ploiement de ces dispositifs. L'objectif g n ral est de comprendre les facteurs explicatifs des comportements d viants dans la mise en oeuvre de ces programmes, afin de proposer des mesures pour r duire leur ampleur. Pour ce faire, il a t retenu une approche qualitative de recherche, les m thodes d'investigation tant: la revue de litt rature, la revue documentaire, l'observation participante et les entretiens semi directifs. Les r sultats indiquent que: les enjeux li s la mise en oeuvre des programmes de couverture sanitaire universelle sont d'ordre politique, conomique, socioculturel et sanitaire; les d viances comportementales observables dans le cadre de ces programmes peuvent prendre des formes vari es en fonction de l'acteur concern ; ces comportements contre normatifs sont tributaires des enjeux en pr sence et s'expliquent par une multitude de facteurs. Running like a red thread through this book are the manifestations of Sino-African relations dating back many centuries. In this way, The Rise and Decline and Rise of China: Searching for an Organising Philosophy takes forward the work MISTRA conducted on the Mapungubwe society, one of the advanced states that existed in southern Africa some 800 years ago, and which enjoyed trade relations with China and other centres in the East. Mapungubwe rose and fell, long before European colonial incursions. Other states emerged in the vicinity, but they also suffered the same fate. When do southern Africa and Africa at large rise again? Are there lessons that the continent can draw from the experience of the Chinese people? If – beyond material considerations – religion, culture and ideology do play a role in the rise, decline and resurgence of a civilization, what are the similarities and contrasts between these regions? Of course, such research cannot ignore the fundamental questions: whence does the current system of social, economic and political relations in China draw its resilience, how adaptable is it, and is it sustainable? As the outcome contained in this book demonstrates, a research exercise of this kind can only be exploratory. It serves merely as a genesis to work that should find new legs. What makes this research report unique, though, is that the treatment of these issues has been undertaken primarily from an African perspective.
