How do you kill an idea? Especially one as stubborn as Randy... Random Stranger is an Abstract, an idea made flesh, and an unknown adversary is out to kill him and his friends. Have you ever had car trouble and received aid from a random stranger? Or awakened after a particularly hard night of drinking to ask yourself who that random stranger is next to you? Wonder no longer, for this is the story of Randy Stranger, who's always around to add an unpredictable element to each of your personal stories. Whenever the unexpected happens, there's Randy, whether he wants to be or not. Randy and his crew have been formed from ideas that had collected and been shared across the human consciousness. Together with his best friend, Lucky Bastard, and his ex, the shotgun toting Karma, they find themselves suddenly the target of a long planned assassination. What could be worse than being the one in the crosshairs? How about learning that the would-be killer might be someone close to you; that they might be an Abstract as well? What Readers are saying? "It was very fast paced and entertaining." "Hooked me from the beginning and kept me wanting more."
Random Thoughts is a work grounded in research, yet rich in innovative thinking. Starting with the role of language and its influence on how we think, Dean Sparks applies this understanding to systems of education, law, politics, and human interaction. After many years of research and personal contemplation, Dean Sparks extends this invitation: "Some of the thoughts herein are based on facts or theories originated by the scientific endeavors of persons learned in the germane subjects; some are of my own making. These are thoughts. All I claim is that I thought them; I make few claims of proof. The reader must do his own thinking." Enjoy this compelling and engaging journey of thought. When you do, you will have joined a meaningful conversation.
Random Monkeys: A Comedy of Errors

"Random Monkeys" is inspired by "The Infinite Monkey Theorem" which, according to Wikipedia in May, 2013, "states that a monkey hitting keys at random on a typewriter keyboard for an infinite amount of time will almost surely type a given text, such as the complete works of William Shakespeare. In this context, 'almost surely' is a mathematical term with a precise meaning, and the 'monkey' is not an actual monkey, but a metaphor for an abstract device that produces an endless random sequence of letters and symbols..." These pages contain one million truly random letters, virtually typed by Cleo(TM), Toby(TM), and Rosie(TM), our three Random Monkeys(TM). Here, among 300 pages of characters, you will find a wide range of short words, long words, sentences, txts, tweets, names and usernames of friends and foes, and, maybe, some phrases from Shakespeare. From Act I through Act V, the Random Monkeys(TM) challenge you to read left to right, right to left, up, down, diagonally, and even zig-zag-onally to find all the literary gems they typed for you Join others sharing and discovering all thou canst find here in our online forum and on social media. Maia Newley is an abstract expressionist artist who lives between the USA and the UK. Her work focusses predominantly on colors, textures and emotions and the interplay between all three. Her previous series have included "Bataille's Dog", "Dante - Inferno - Hell" and "Faustus - Denouement - The Conclusion" which both explore the relationship between mankind, evil, eternality and man's belief in the supernatural. She has exhibited in the USA, UK and Europe and is committed to producing 'accessible art' which is shown in appropriately accessible environments. She has regularly shunned opportunities of exhibiting in conventional galleries in favor of open-air, freely-accessible exhibitions and open-space galleries which offer full access to visitors with no entrance fee. She strongly believes that art belongs to everyone and should not be viewed any differently to music (which she also composes) - everyone should have free access to art if they wish to view it. She views her work as coming from an anarchistic start point and, for this reason, she endeavors to ensure her work is available and viewable to anyone who wishes to see it, regardless of income, status or education. As Maia herself says: "... There are some galleries I have exhibited in in the past, where even I, as the artist, feel uncomfortable going in the door - as though I am entering some hallowed hall where I can only walk in if I am wearing the right outfit and only speak in whispers using words of more than three syllables. Goodness alone knows how the casual passer-by might feel on seeing the work through the window and wishing to pop in to view it in more detail. I do not want my art work displayed in such a place. Life is art and art is life, and therefore is it imperative that we do not separate the two or put one on a pedestal above the other." Although Maia works predominantly as an expressionist, she also has occasional forays into the areas of symbolism and fauvism. Over the years she has worked with a plethora of different media including sculpture, stone casting, metalwork, pyrography, stained glass window design and more conventional painting. She is also a photographer. Maia also runs an independent film production company which produces mainly biographical documentary feature films. "In the depth of winter I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer." (Albert Camus)
