Sarah Sze's second solo show at the Fondation Cartier is accompanied by a richly illustrated catalog with 48 different coversAmerican artist Sarah Sze (born 1969) exhibited her first solo show at the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain at the turn of the millennium; two decades later, she returns to the exhibition spaces of Jean Nouvel's iconic building in the midst of a similarly contentious global environment with two new sculptures specially created for the occasion. These pieces explore how the contemporary proliferation of images--via print and pixel, from deep space to the deep web--fundamentally changes our relationship to time, memory and the physical presence of objects. This catalog was designed in close collaboration with the artist, detailing the execution of Sze's installation. An essay by philosopher Bruno Latour, a conversation between Sze and Jean Nouvel, and an essay by exhibition curator Leanne Sacramone provide further insight into the process behind this work and Sze's artistic philosophy.

Diese Studie ist die erste umfassende Monographie zum literarischen Werk der Philosophin Sarah Kofman (1934-1994). Aus den Einzelanalysen wird deutlich, dass die sprachlichen Verfahren der Autorin als Widerspruch zum Geschichtsrevisionismus in Frankreich zu verstehen sind. Die Hinwendung Kofmans zum Literarischen ist damit auch eine Reaktion der berlebenden auf die Leugnung der Kollaboration und die Verdr ngung der Mitverantwortung Frankreichs an der Deportation und Ermordung der europ ischen J dinnen und Juden. Im Vichy-Frankreich unter P tain wurde eine nationalistisch und rassistisch gepr gte Ver nderung der franz sischen Gesellschaft angestrebt, ein Umstand, der im franz sischen Ged chtnis sp ter mit dem Narrativ der Befreiung als Ergebnis eines im Widerstand geeinten Frankreichs berdeckt wurde. Die Studie zeigt, wie die Autorin gegen diese blockierten Ged chtnisse angeschrieben hat. Die literarischen Repr sentationen franz sisch-j discher Geschichtserfahrung gehen in der Familiengeschichte von Sarah Kofman nicht auf, sondern verweisen auf eine kollektive Erfahrung, die im Werk der Autorin erinnert wird. So erschlie t die Studie erstmals die ged chtnisgeschichtliche Bedeutung von Kofmans literarischem Schreiben.
