This book presents quantum theory as a theory based on new relationships among matter, thought, and experimental technology, as against those previously found in physics, relationships that also redefine those between mathematics and physics in quantum theory. The argument of the book is based on its title concept, reality without realism (RWR), and in the corresponding view, the RWR view, of quantum theory. The book considers, from this perspective, the thinking of Bohr, Heisenberg, Schrödinger, and Dirac, with the aim of bringing together the philosophy and history of quantum theory. With quantum theory, the book argues, the architecture of thought in theoretical physics was radically changed by the irreducible role of experimental technology in the constitution of physical phenomena, accordingly, no longer defined independently by matter alone, as they were in classical physics or relativity. Or so it appeared. For, quantum theory, the book further argues, made us realize that experimental technology, beginning with that of our bodies, irreducibly shapes all physical phenomena, and thus makes us rethink the relationships among matter, thought, and technology in all of physics.

Furthermore, it proposes a new metrizable model of gravity. In contrast to the usual General Relativity theory, where all ten components of the symmetric pseudo-metric are independent variables, the gravity model presented here essentially depends only on a single four-covector field, and is restricted to have only three-independent components. However, the author proves that the gravitational field, governed by the proposed model and generated by some massive body, resting and spherically symmetric in some coordinate system, is given by a pseudo-metric that coincides with the well known Schwarzschild metric from General Relativity. The Maxwell equations and electrodynamics are also investigated in the framework of the proposed model. Inparticular, the covariant formulation of electrodynamics of moving dielectrics and para/diamagnetic media is derived.

In this book the author derives, under the classical non-relativistic consideration of the space-time, general forms of the most common physical laws invariant under the changes of inertial or non-inertial coordinate systems, both in the classical and the quantum regime. Important examples of such invariant physical laws are the Maxwell Equations, Newtonian gravity as well as several more complicated models of gravity and many other physical laws including many of the laws of quantum mechanics, thermodynamics and statistical physics, continuum mechanics, and optics. Moreover, several basic laws of relativistic physics, both in the classical and quantum regimes can be still formulated invariantly under the non-relativistic consideration of space-time. These include the classical relativistic Second Law of Newton and the quantum Dirac and Klein--Gordon equations for relativistic particles, including their interaction with the external gravitational field. In particular, we introduce the Hamiltonian formulation of the Dirac equation, and moreover, were able to formulate the Dirac equation for multiple particles, similarly to what was done for the Schroedinger equation of the non-relativistic quantum mechanics. One of the goals of this work is to provide a self-contained and simple mathematical formulation of the most general physical laws in a manner understandable to the reader familiar only with basic calculus, classical mechanics and basic elements of non-relativistic quantum mechanics.

The approach allows the book to develop a new understanding of both the history and philosophy of quantum theory, from Planck’s quantum to the Higgs boson, and beyond, and of the thinking the key founding figures, such as Einstein, Bohr, Heisenberg, Schrödinger, and Dirac, as well as some among more recent theorists.
