This book tells the story of Robert Walker Haulage. Established in 1935, Robert Walker never intended to run a haulage business; he initially bought a lorry to carry the produce from his market garden to the local markets. He then branched out into other types of transport work including carrying prisoners of war! Later, his forward thinking sons Brian and Eric saw a niche market in the transport of fork lift trucks and decided to try converting an old R.A.F. trailer into an early fork lift truck carrier. Today the company is in the hands of the third and fourth generations of the family and despite its humble beginnings, it is now the largest fork truck transporter in the UK. The book details the history of the company's success including anecdotes from people that have worked for or with the company over the years. It details how Walkers carried Donald Campbell's Bluebird around on his exhibition tour of 1965 after setting his land speed records between 1955 and 1964, and shows how ERF played a major role in the expansion of the fork truck transport business. Der sich beim Singen seiner Kompositionen stets selbst am Flugel begleitende Loewe, konnte mehrere erfolgreiche Konzerte geben, wovon Publikum und Kritik derart begeistert waren, sodass ihm die Wiener den Beinamen "norddeutscher Schubert" verliehen. Zum Abschied von Wien hinterliess er eine bisher unbekannte und hier erstmals veroeffentlichte Liedkomposition mit dem Titel "Ewige Liebe". Trotz zahlreicher weiterer Kontakte zum Wiener Musikleben, schlugen Loewes Versuche fehl, in dieser Stadt langerfristig beruflich Fuss zu fassen. War ihm auch keine weitere Wienreise mehr moeglich, so konnte er doch einige Kompositionen in Wien verlegen; ausserdem wurde er zum Ehrenmitglied der Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde ernannt.

De sidste mange år af sit liv levede Walser som patient på sindssygehospitalet i Herisau — således også i den periode fra 1936 til 1956, som Seeligs optegnelser strækker sig over. While this work was intended to be limited to the ancestors of Robert1 Abell (of the line in Stapenhill in Derbyshire, England) who died in Rehoboth, Plymouth Colony, on 20 June 1663, it naturally includes the lines of many other colonial Americans, for whom connections will be found in David Faris' Plantagenet Ancestry of Seventeenth-Century Colonists, Frederick Lewis Weis' Ancestral Roots of Certain American Colonists, and Gary Boyd Roberts' The Royal Descents of 600 Immigrants to the American Colonies and the United States.This second edition includes more than eighty percent additional text, and 219 lines, forty-four percent more than the 152 lines in the first edition. Unlike the works of Faris, Weis and Roberts, it includes every line which could be discovered going back at least to the end of the reign of King Edward I in 1307, as well as historical background, and as much information on all the children which could be found in years of research. The eleven-page bibliography of the first edition has grown to sixty-two pages, due in large part to the availability of millions of books on the internet. In addition, this volume benefits from input from numerous genealogists over the more than fifteen years following the first edition. A glossary, a bibliography, an Index of Personal Names, and an Index of Place Names add to the value of this extensive work.
