When Roseanne Grey jumps to her death on a cold December day, there's no apparent reason why - not even according to her psychiatrist. Detective Sergeant Darwin Grant is told to file the death as a simple suicide, but he's not so sure. For a start, why did a woman recovering from a road accident call out Roseanne's name as she came round, but later claim not to know her? And why had she rung Roseanne no less than fifty-three times just before she died? Even though he knows his rebelliously over-active curiosity will get him into trouble, and one more indiscretion could be his last, Grant believes in justice - and to his crusading policeman's nose, Roseanne's death smells of something other than suicide. Roseanne's psychiatrist is curious too - particularly about the mysterious woman who called out Roseanne's name. What might she know about Roseanne? There was a lot to know about Roseanne; none of it explicable ...

Much has been written about reintegration of ex-combatants in a traditional or conventional disarmament, demobilisation and reintegration (DDR) programme. This volume examines reintegration of ex-combatants in a un-conventional DDR in which a cash-based scheme replaced a reintegration programme. It uncovers the dilemmas surrounding the un-conventional DDR programme in Nepal, situating the phenomena in the divisive politics of war to peace transition. Drawing on the narratives and perceptions of ex-combatants and their families, the volume provides a compelling analysis of why some ex-combatants reintegrate socially and economically better than others at the end of a war. Analysing the consequences and effects of reintegration of Maoist ex-combatants in the post-conflict peace and security, the volume argues that cash-based schemed in DDR programme can pacify ex-combatants and de-politicise a DDR programme but cash alone can not reintegrate ex-combatants.

American humorist D.B. Tarpley is at it again with this collection of angry essays, furious poems, and rage-inducing anecdotes. Essentially the coffee-table book from Hell, 'The Compendium Veribellum' will grab your brain like a sopping wet sponge and ruthlessly twist until everything you know has been squeezed out onto the cold, hard ground. But in a good way. "The height of cultural discourse encapsulated in a porcelain sized tea-cup of gentlemanly grace and honorable humility." - Genghis Khan "This dude needs to lighten up." - Vlad 'The Impaler' Tepes "Screw D.B. Tarpley. Screw him right in the armpit." - Fred Rogers
The poetry compilation is that of an amateur's works from years of misleading and misguided endeavors and pursuits of love and happiness. It is a self-published disaster waiting to be shared and hated or loved by the masses. It is a truly unpolished raw re-telling of one's horrific bad luck and broken memories. There are some doses of happy, however, in order to remedy the rocking of the boat.
