In diesem Ansatz wurden BaTiO3-D nnschichten mit Hilfe eines hausgemachten Spr hpyrolysesystems erfolgreich auf einem Quarzsubstrat abgeschieden. BiFeO3 is one of the most promising multiferroic materials, since it can exhibit both ferroelectricity and antiferromagnetism at room temperature. Addition to that BFO is known to have an optical band-gap in the range of 2.5 - 3.2 eV. This makes it an important material for future optoelectronic device applications. In this approach, Pure and Ni doped BFO thin films were successfully deposited on FTO substrate using spray pyrolysis system. The structural and morphological and optical properties of films were discussed well. The films structure were confirmed with XRD pattern, and it is observed that both the samples are polycrystalline in nature and the observed diffraction peaks are indexed to rhombohedral structure with R3c space group. Doping with Ni has been found to be desirable because it reduces the optical band gap and thus, can be used with much success for many optoelectronic as well as magneto-optical applications.

O BiFeO3 reconhecido como um candidato promissor devido s suas potenciais aplica es na conce o de dispositivos que combinam funcionalidades magn ticas, electr nicas e pticas. Para o efeito, foram depositados com sucesso filmes finos de BFO puro e dopado com Ni e Ti em substrato FTO, utilizando o sistema de pir lise por pulveriza o assistida por parede quente. As propriedades estruturais, morfol gicas e pticas das pel culas finas foram bem discutidas. A estrutura das pel culas foi confirmada com o padr o de difra o XRD, tendo-se observado que as amostras s o de natureza policristalina e que os picos de difra o observados est o indexados estrutura rombo drica com grupo espacial R3c. Tamb m a codopagem de BFO com Ni e Ti leva fus o de picos duplos num nico pico principal. As imagens FESEM mostram a forma o de nanobast es para as amostras de BFO puro e codopado com um tamanho m dio de 97 e 90 nm, respetivamente. As propriedades pticas indicaram uma quantidade consider vel de absor o de luz vis vel para as amostras de BFO puro e codopado. Com intervalos de banda direta de 2,54 e 2,55 eV, este material pode responder bem aos fot es para gerar uma fotocorrente em estado estacion rio sob o efeito de um campo el trico interno.
