Sar interessante studiare se i soluti compatibili possono sostituire l'alta concentrazione di sale nel sistema aloarcheo senza influenzare la funzione e la stabilit delle proteine. Il gene HS4 gi stato clonato in pTZ57R/T. Pertanto, il sub clonaggio del gene HS4 dal clone pTZ57R/T nel vettore di espressione pET28a (+) stato eseguito con successo per l'espressione della proteina. Sono stati effettuati studi di sovraespressione della proteina. Tuttavia, non stato possibile ottenere una produzione di alto livello della proteina desiderata.
