A unique interreligious dialogue provides needed context for deeper understanding of interfaith relations, from ancient to modern times Freedom is far from straightforward as a topic of comparative theology. While it is often identified with modernity and even postmodernity, freedom has long been an important topic for reflection by both Christians and Muslims, discussed in both the Bible and the Quran. Each faith has a different way of engaging with the idea of freedom shaped by the political context of their beginnings. The New Testament emerged in a region under occupation by the Roman Empire, whereas the Quran was first received in tribal Arabia, a stateless environment with political freedom. Freedom: Christian and Muslim Perspectives, edited by Lucinda Mosher, considers how Christian and Muslim faith communities have historically addressed many facets of freedom. The book presents essays, historical and scriptural texts, and reflections. Topics include God's freedom, human freedom to obey God, autonomy versus heteronomy, autonomy versus self-governance, freedom from incapacitating addiction and desire, hermeneutic or discursive freedom vis-à-vis scripture and tradition, religious and political freedom, and the relationship between personal conviction and public order. The rich insights expressed in this unique interfaith discussion will benefit readers—from students and scholars, to clerics and community leaders, to politicians and policymakers—who will gain a deeper understanding of how these two communities define freedom, how it is treated in both religious and secular texts, and how to make sense of it in the context of our contemporary lives.

Wendy Cohen, born to atheists shortly after WWII, knew, from her earliest memories, that her parents' atheism was wrong. Because of ongoing, supernatural, encounters with Jesus, she had a rich, personal relationship with God. Her heart yearned to bring her parents, whose atheism was born from the Holocaust, out of their darkness into the light of God's Love. When she was six years old, she promised theLORD she would do that. Within months, her world was demolished. Left with a babysitter who practiced Satanic Ritual Abuse, she spent two weeks, within a coven, watching people be tortured to death. Somehow, at that early age, she realized that the same spiritual force that created Naziism had created this death cult. She promised God to do her part to end this horrible nightmare. After a lifetime spent in the arts, including theatre, music, writing, and teaching the above, it has finally come time for her to testify of her recovery, and to offer God's hand of help, as she experienced it, to others. She hopes this book will open doors for much healing. Wendy pastors through an Assembly of God church, and works internationally, encouraging Christian visual and performing artists to enhance the intimacy of their personal relationships with the LORD. For information on her work as a musician, on her international arts center, and on her other work with artists, please contact her at [email protected].

If you're like me the answer is NO, school did not teach you how to be the next Bill Gates. That's because school simply teaches you how to be an employee, it's outside of the walls of your schooling that you learn the true principles of success. So where do you look? I say you start with the work you have in front of your hands, which is direct detail of the secrets to success principles and mindset. I have put a ton of information within the pages of this book that has been taught to me by people making 100,000 to Millions of dollars a year. So how bad do you want success?

The idea of Freedom came to me on a foggy Sunday morning at church. I was at the new church me and my family had begun visiting shortly after our departure from our old, original home church. I remember the day clearly. There were ten minutes left until service was to start and I had entered the building with an empty mind, completely void of worry and anxiety. I sat in the middle row of the middle section looking out of one of many windows with a distant stare. From there I began to think about why we as people are alive and why we have to deal with life as it is today. My mind wandered swiftly to the word that had been ringing in my head all day, "Freedom." I sat there pondering that word because I understand it is tossed around frequently with little to no explanation as to what it actually means. I began going deeper, thinking about what the meaning of life is. I often catch myself asking questions like "why do we exist?", "What is the root of our existence?", and "why is our world so messed up?" I had no answer. These questions acted as catalysts to the one solution/answer which was that word, Freedom. I could've said choice was the solution but what is choice without the freedom to apply or act upon our given opportunity, then what do we have? I'd ponder this topic for years without any given direction as to where my focus should be directed when answering such a broad question. (what is the meaning of life?) It can differ for each and every last one of us. Some of us need a window to determine our own reason for existence.... Maybe you'll be able to find it here

"Bold and terrific book. The Timing is perfect. Boldness has genius and power in it, whatever you do or dream you can do, begin it " The great Paul Harris EsqHow can We Protect Our Freedom from the immediate Attack from Feudalism, Indoctrination, and a Centrist Technocratic Tyranny? The book summarises the 2020s period of post capitalism and how can we protect our freedom from the immediate attack coming from weaponised language, feudalism, indoctrination, and technocratic tyranny. In Gates opinion "bioterrorism is the next big threat" and "we don't worry enough" yet the vaccines themselves are a serious attack of this kind. Unfortunately, Gates predictions have been miraculously accurate, so one must take them very seriously It seems clear that we are involved in a multistage process and Covid 19 was only one phase and protecting health is only a pretext. Without a soul there is no sense of self, no memory or anything and no chance of recovery, you just exist like an empty shell. "It is one of the most difficult things that can be imposed on a thinking person to have witness the course of a historical process among ignorant people, the inevitable outcome of which he has long known with clarity. The time of other people's mistakes, of false hopes, of blindly committed mistakes becomes very long" Carl J. BurckhardtOur economies are being trashed. And the sinister irony of an EV-only future creeps ever closer. Can we do anything about it? Find out in this pragmatic, insightful and edifying book. It's time to look deeper. But most importantly, we need to realise we're being played like puppets. Its urgent to act now because this is our last stand before 2030 to save our freedom, So, this book describes the drivers, mechanisms that cause indoctrination, and how we can escape this trap to regain our freedom.

Freedom?

As a figure of thought, the concept of freedom tends to shuttle between abstraction and ideal - the first exemplified by Isaiah Berlin's contrast between negative and positive liberty, and the second by Philip Pettit's neo-republican conception of freedom as non-domination. Located within the realm of lived experience however, freedom is invariably forged from context-specific constraints and takes the form of cultural practices. In this contribution to the Sireacht series, the collaborative platform Two Fuse examine the practice of freedom in the context of neo-liberal enterprise culture, focusing specifically on how this is shaped by power relations that sustain social suffering by generating an equality of inequality. Responding to this situation, Two Fuse look to socially-engaged art with a view to exploring possibilities to reimagine the practice of freedom, paying particular attention to the 2016 performance Natural History of Hope by Fiona Whelan, Rialto Youth Project and Brokentalkers.
