This book examines public-nonprofit collaborations in the context of federal homeless policy. Communities across the U.S. are expected to create local homeless service networks, known as Continuums of Care (CoCs), in order to respond to their incidence of homelessness. It leverages unique, original and national data and applies collaborative governance theories to develop a systematic understanding of network governance and leadership, health care services for those experiencing homelessness, and measuring impact of collaborative activities. The book offers a connected and comprehensive understanding of public-nonprofit collaboration in a homeless policy field and management strategies to lead and assess cross-sector arrangements.

This book aims to explore the life of Yi Won-young, an outstanding Confucian scholar from Andong, in South Korea. Andong is known as the home of Neo-Confucianism, as in this region Western Christianity took root amidst the impeccable and ritualistic Confucian society without much conflict and confrontation. This study deals with the most turbulent times of 20th century Korean history and investigates the formation of the Andong biblical Christianity. Was the confluence of availability and accessibility of the Bible and Bible study and the method of Confucian canon reading relevant for the formation of Andong biblical Christianity? This is one of the questions the author tries to answer in the book. Further, the author vividly portrays Yi’s struggle to interact with the community and the occupying Japanese authority, analyzes the development of his eschatological interpretation and the issues of Shinto worship and its consequences, church division and sterility of human minds after trauma of deprivation. The book offers an overview of Korean Neo-Confucianism and the early Presbyterian Church of Korea during the Japanese occupation and post Korean War. For Western readers new references were added by the translator.

This book, containing more than 200 cadaveric photos and 200 illustrations, aims to familiarize physicians practicing botulinum toxin type A (BoT-A) and filler injection with the anatomy of the facial mimetic muscles, vessels, and soft tissues in order to enable them to achieve optimum cosmetic results while avoiding possible adverse events. Anatomic considerations of importance when administering BoT-A and fillers are identified and in addition invaluable clinical guidelines are provided, highlighting, for example, the preferred injection points for BoT-A and the adequate depth of filler injection. Unique insights are also offered into the differences between Asians and Caucasians with regard to relevant anatomy. The contributing authors include an anatomist who offers distinctive anatomic perspectives on BoT-A and filler treatments and three expert physicians from different specialties, namely a dermatologist, a plastic surgeon, and a cosmetic physician, who share insights gained during extensive clinical experience in the use of BoT-A and fillers.

This is the very first book to describe the superficial anatomic structure of the face and neck by means of detailed ultrasonography (US). This superbly illustrated book will help aesthetic physicians to familiarize themselves with the US anatomy of the face and neck and to understand the applications and benefits of US when performing minimally invasive aesthetic procedures in this region. A deep understanding of anatomy is imperative if such procedures are to be safe and effective. Bearing in mind the range of potential anatomic variations, US can offer vital assistance in identifying target structures of the face beneath the skin when carrying out treatments that would otherwise be performed “blind”. In this book, readers will find detailed guidance on the use of US in the context of botulinum toxin and filler injections, threading procedures, and other minimally invasive aesthetic approaches. This is done with the aid of more than 530 US images, including cadaveric dissections and illustrations of volunteers and patients. For novices, valuable information is also provided on the basics of US imaging.

Fundamentals Of Theoretical Plasma Physics: Mathematical Description Of Plasma Waves
This book is written as a senior undergraduate and graduate textbook of theoretical plasma physics; topics include Boltzmann equation, two-fluid equations, magnetohydrodynamics, Vlasov-Maxwell Plasma, absolute and convective instabilities, fundamental kinetic theory, Lenard-Balescu equation, electric fluctuation, plasma electrodynamics and causality, nonlinear waves, inverse scattering method, surface waves, and dusty plasma. It also includes special topics like parametric instabilities and kinetic theory of surface waves in a plasma slab. The development of theory is presented through gentle mathematical steps through easy and straightforward demonstration. The readers will be able to appreciate the beauty of mathematical analysis in connection with theoretical plasma physics.
Solar Power and Energy Storage Systems

Solar Power and Energy Storage Systems

Extensive study of solar energy is increasing as fast as the threat of global warming is getting serious. Solar energy is considered the best source of renewable energy because it is clean and unlimited. Solar radiation can be harnessed and converted into different forms of energy that does not pollute the environment. In order to transform solar radiation, we need collectors of sunlight, such as solar cells. The main challenges are energy security, the increasing prices of carbon-based energy sources, and global warming. We cannot use sunlight during the night, so an energy storage system (ESS) is necessary. The best ESS is one with high power and high energy density. This book introduces the basic concepts of an ESS.Written by Prof. Hee-Je Kim, who leads an interdisciplinary team at the Pusan National University, this book compiles and details the cutting-edge research that is revolutionizing solar energy by improving its efficiency and storage techniques through the development of engineered sunlight. It discusses the fabrication and commercialization of next-generation solar cells such as dye-synthesized, quantum-dot, and perovskite solar cells, besides describing the high-energy and power-density-flexible supercapacitor for a hybrid ESS, as well as the dual active bridge (DAB), DC/DC converter, MPPT, PV inverter, and remote control by a smartphone with a novel algorithm for a power-conditioning system.
