Children are asked to allow God into their hearts at the end of the book and they are given a certificate to signify this memorable moment.Genesis 9: 12-17 12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual 13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth 14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud 15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh 16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth 17 And God said unto No'-ah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.Excerpt taken from KJV Version of the Holy Bible

This book undertakes a general review on the major infectious diseases in Hong Kong and Mainland China. Secondly, it will set out the future directions for better preparedness in the fight against infectious diseases particularly the emerging new infections in the 21st Century. It also discusses the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), also called infectious atypical pneumonia in China, is an emerging infectious disease caused by a novel variant of coronavirus (SARS-associated coronavirus, SARS-CoV). It is mainly characterised by pulmonary infection with high infectivity and fatality. SARS swept across almost every continent of the globe, and has currently involved 32 countries and regions, including the mainland of China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, North America and Europe. The condition is hard especially in China. Chinese scientists and healthcare workers co-operated closely with scientists around the world to fight with the disease. On April 16, 2003, World Health Organization (WHO) formally declared that SARS-CoV was an etiological agent of SARS. Currently, there is no specific and effective therapy and prevention method for SARS. However, this disease can be prevented, and it is also curable and controllable. The main treatments include corticosteroid therapy, anti-viral agents, anti-infection, mechanical ventilation and medical isolation. With the endeavour of the Chinese Government, medical staffs and other related professionals, SARS has been controlled in China. Scientists around the world, including Chinese scientists have made a great progress in SARS research from that time on. A review is presented of the history of SARS and the progress in SARS research, especially in China.
Sustainable energy is the provision of energy such that it meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. A broader interpretation may allow inclusion of fossil fuels and nuclear fission as transitional sources while technology develops, as long as new sources are developed for future generations to use. A narrower interpretation includes only energy sources which are not expected to be depleted in a time frame relevant to the human race. Sustainable energy sources are most often regarded as including all renewable sources, such as biofuels, solar power, wind power, wave power, geothermal power and tidal power. It usually also includes technologies that improve energy efficiency. This new and important handbook gathers the latest research from around the globe in the study of sustainable energy and highlights such topics as: monitoring sustainable energy development; methane; energy and territory; biodiesel production; electrochemical hydrogen storage; environmental policies in an electricity sector and others).
