"Ch vez. That was their cry. Ch vez. It was enough." Hugo Ch vez's speeches are a call to action, challenging us to take up the task of building a socialism that emerges from our own histories and is for our own people. The Bolivarian Revolution bravely put forth a path to liberation for Venezuela and the continent, declaring socialism as the only way of defeating capitalism and imperialism. And the socialism Ch vez proposes finds its roots in the legacy of Venezuelan and South American struggles for independence from imperialism. From Sim n Bol var, to revolutionary Cuba, to Indigenous leaders who knew their vengeance would come centuries later, Ch vez weaves history and theory to present a socialism that emerges from the people - a heroic creation of its own. Ch vez left behind thousands of hours of speeches, and this book collects seven of them, presenting his theories, perspectives, and his visions of 21st century socialism. An almost encyclopedic blend of songs, stories, and dreams of the Venezuelan people, his words are a tool for young people seeking to understand the ideas of Chavismo and the Venezuelan process of building socialism in Latin America.
Mikael Blomkvist, crusading journalist and publisher of the magazine Millennium, has decided to run a story that will expose an extensive sex trafficking operation between Eastern Europe and Sweden, implicating well-known and highly placed members of Swedish society, business, and government. But he has no idea just how explosive the story will be until, on the eve of publication, the two investigating reporters are murdered. And even more shocking for Blomkvist: the fingerprints found on the murder weapon belong to Lisbeth Salander-the troubled, wise-beyond-her-years genius hacker who came to his aid in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and who now becomes the focus and fierce heart of The Girl Who Played with Fire. As Blomkvist, alone in his belief in Salander's innocence, plunges into an investigation of the slayings, Salander herself is drawn into a murderous hunt in which she is the prey, and which compels her to revisit her dark past in an effort to settle with it once and for all.
Mantlo: A Life in Comics showcases the life and career of one of the comic book industry's most prolific writers of the 1970s and early 1980s. Mantlo penned hundreds of stories and created or co-created dozens of characters including Rocket Raccoon. Tragically, Mantlo's life was severely compromised following a rollerblading accident in the mid 1980s. He has remained in nursing care since this time. This new edition of Mantlo: A Life in Comics, like its predecessor, is a benefit book with all proceeds being donated toward the costs of Mantlo's medical expenses.

When Jacobus, a scheming psudo itinerant missionary arrives in the resource endowed Bang'anja Kingdom, King Manjolo and his subjects are euphoric. Soon, death would be a scourge of the past for them. Jacobus has convinced them he is on his God's mission to unravel the secret to eternal life for their king. Manjolo believes knowledge of this secret will elevate his status to that of a god, and neighbouring kings and their subjects will supplicate before him for eternal life. To unravel the secret, Jacobus requests unfettered access into the kingdom's sacred carven shrine with diamond studded walls to harmonize his God's endeavours with the Bang'anja's. Many before him have tried ingenious ruses to establish the location of the shrine to strip it of the diamonds and failed. Will the devious Jacobus succeed?
