Ziel dieser Studie war es, den Bedarf an kieferorthop discher Behandlung sowie die Verteilung, Pr valenz und Schwere von Zahnfehlstellungen bei Schwarzen und anderen ethnischen Gruppen in einer repr sentativen Stichprobe von Schulkindern in der Stadt Salvador/BA-Brasilien zu vergleichen und festzustellen, ob die Zahnfehlstellungen durch soziodemografische Bedingungen wie Alter und Geschlecht beeinflusst werden. Dabei wurde der Dental Aesthetic Index nach den Kriterien der Weltgesundheitsorganisation verwendet. An der Studie nahmen insgesamt 2085 Schulkinder im Alter zwischen 12 und 15 Jahren teil, die in einer mehrstufigen Zufallsstichprobe gezogen wurden. Jeder Teilnehmer erhielt ein Formular zur Erfassung demografischer Merkmale. Die Ergebnisse zeigten, dass die meisten der in dieser Studie beobachteten Personen keine oder nur eine geringe Notwendigkeit f r eine kieferorthop dische Behandlung hatten. Einige hatten schwere Zahnfehlstellungen, die eine kieferorthop dische Behandlung unbedingt erforderlich machten. Bei den meisten der untersuchten Bedingungen gab es keine statistisch signifikanten Unterschiede zwischen den ethnischen Gruppen, mit Ausnahme von Engstand und offenem Frontzahnbiss, die bei Schwarzen st rker ausgepr gt waren.

The aim of this study was to compare the need for orthodontic treatment, as well as the distribution, prevalence and severity of malocclusions, between black individuals and other ethnic groups, in a representative sample of schoolchildren in the city of Salvador/BA-Brazil, as well as to determine whether malocclusions were affected by socio-demographic conditions such as age and gender, using the Dental Aesthetics Index according to World Health Organization criteria. A total of 2085 schoolchildren aged between 12 and 15 years took part in the study, drawn in a multi-stage random sample. Each participant was given a form recording demographic characteristics. The results showed that most of the individuals observed in this study had little or no need for orthodontic treatment. Some had severe malocclusion, resulting in an essential need for orthodontic treatment. For most of the conditions assessed, there was no statistically significant difference between the ethnic groups, with the exception of crowding and anterior open bite, which were more prevalent among blacks.

L'objectif de cette tude tait de comparer la n cessit d'un traitement orthodontique, ainsi que la distribution, la pr valence et la gravit de la malocclusion chez les Noirs et les autres groupes ethniques dans un chantillon repr sentatif d' coliers de la ville de Salvador/BA-Br sil, et de d terminer si la malocclusion tait affect e par des conditions sociod mographiques telles que l' ge et le sexe, en utilisant l'indice d'esth tique dentaire selon les crit res de l'Organisation mondiale de la sant . Au total, 2085 coliers g s de 12 15 ans ont particip l' tude, partir d'un chantillon al atoire plusieurs degr s. Chaque participant a re u un formulaire dans lequel taient consign es ses caract ristiques d mographiques. Les r sultats ont montr que la plupart des individus observ s dans le cadre de cette tude n'avaient pas ou peu besoin d'un traitement orthodontique. Certains pr sentaient une malocclusion s v re et avaient donc absolument besoin d'un traitement orthodontique. Pour la plupart des conditions valu es, il n'y avait pas de diff rence statistiquement significative entre les groupes ethniques, l'exception de l'encombrement et de l'occlusion ant rieure, qui taient plus fr quents chez les Noirs.

Lo scopo di questo studio stato quello di confrontare la necessit di un trattamento ortodontico, nonch la distribuzione, la prevalenza e la gravit della malocclusione tra i neri e gli altri gruppi etnici in un campione rappresentativo di scolari della citt di Salvador/BA-Brasile, e di determinare se la malocclusione fosse influenzata da condizioni socio-demografiche come l'et e il sesso, utilizzando l'indice di estetica dentale secondo i criteri dell'Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanit . Hanno preso parte allo studio 2085 scolari di et compresa tra i 12 e i 15 anni, estratti in un campione casuale a pi stadi. A ogni partecipante stato consegnato un modulo con le caratteristiche demografiche. I risultati hanno mostrato che la maggior parte degli individui osservati in questo studio aveva poca o nessuna necessit di trattamento ortodontico. Alcuni presentavano una grave malocclusione, con conseguente necessit di un trattamento ortodontico. Per la maggior parte delle condizioni valutate, non c'erano differenze statisticamente significative tra i gruppi etnici, con l'eccezione dell'affollamento e del morso aperto anteriore, che erano pi prevalenti nei neri.

In dieser Studie wird ein klinisches Verfahren vorgestellt, bei dem ein oberer lateraler Schneidezahn mit Hilfe eines Periotoms minimal traumatisch extrahiert und anschlie end ein Morsekonus-Implantat (Alvim 3,5x13 mm, Neodent(R)) sofort eingesetzt wurde. Anschlie end wurde eine subepitheliale Bindegewebstransplantation (SCTG) durchgef hrt, da die Verwendung von Bindegewebs- und Knochentransplantaten zur Rekonstruktion des bukkalen Gewebes beitr gt, was die sthetischen Erfolgsraten und die Patientenzufriedenheit erh ht sowie g nstige biologische Reaktionen wie eine Zunahme des bukkalen Gewebevolumens und eine Zunahme der Menge an keratinisiertem Gewebe f rdert. Um den Verlust des verbleibenden Alveolarknochengewebes zu beheben, wurde bei der Alveolarrekonstruktion bovines Biomaterial (Geistlich Bio-Oss(R)) verwendet, das den Raum zwischen dem Implantat und dem verbleibenden Alveolarknochen f llt und auch dazu dient, die Implantatspiralen abzudecken und die Stabilit t des neu transplantierten Weichgewebes zu f rdern.

Immediate implantation, in addition to reducing clinical treatment time, aims to preserve marginal bone ridges and maintain the emergence profile of the dental crown. This study presents a clinical procedure involving the minimally traumatic extraction of an upper lateral incisor using a periotome, followed by the immediate installation of a Morse cone implant (Alvim 3.5x13mm, Neodent(R)). Subepithelial connective tissue grafting (SCTG) was then performed, since the use of connective tissue and bone grafts helps in buccal tissue reconstruction, which increases aesthetic success rates and patient satisfaction, as well as promoting favorable biological responses, such as an increase in buccal tissue volume and a gain in the amount of keratinized tissue. In order to remedy a loss of remaining alveolar bone tissue, bovine biomaterial (Geistlich Bio-Oss(R)) was used for alveolar reconstruction, filling the space between the implant and the remaining alveolar bone, and also with the intention of covering the implant spirals and promoting stability for the newly grafted soft tissue.

L'impianto immediato, oltre a ridurre i tempi del trattamento clinico, mira a preservare le creste ossee marginali e a mantenere il profilo di emergenza della corona dentale. Questo studio presenta una procedura clinica che prevede l'estrazione minimamente traumatica di un incisivo laterale superiore utilizzando un periotomo, seguita dall'installazione immediata di un impianto a cono di Morse (Alvim 3,5x13 mm, Neodent(R)). stato quindi eseguito un innesto di tessuto connettivo subepiteliale (SCTG), poich l'uso di innesti di tessuto connettivo e osseo favorisce la ricostruzione del tessuto buccale, aumentando i tassi di successo estetico e la soddisfazione del paziente, oltre a promuovere risposte biologiche favorevoli, come l'aumento del volume del tessuto buccale e l'incremento della quantit di tessuto cheratinizzato. Per rimediare alla perdita di tessuto osseo alveolare residuo, il biomateriale bovino (Geistlich Bio-Oss(R)) stato utilizzato nella ricostruzione alveolare, riempiendo lo spazio tra l'impianto e l'osso alveolare residuo e con l'intento di coprire le spirali implantari e promuovere la stabilit dei nuovi tessuti molli innestati.

Starting with simple examples showing the relevance of cutting and pasting logics, the monograph develops a mathematical theory of combining and decomposing logics, ranging from propositional and first-order based logics to higher-order based logics as well as to non-truth functional logics.
