When Dave Howard was thinking of a new story, he wanted to honor his mentor, or as Dave would say, "tormentor", Walter "Helm" Horosko. Helm was known to say things like "Is your name Xerox? If I wanted a copy I would have copied it." "Is your name Kodak? If I wanted a picture of it I would have taken a picture."Helm pushed Dave into painting and sculpting as well. He told Dave to work outside of his comfort zone. He said "Paint what you feel not what you see."Helm and Marvin state "Be yourself don't try to become someone else. Let them be themselves and you be you." Remember, you should be an individual. Be you.Marvin wants to be a magician, not a musician, nor a beautician. He does have a love for magic all inclusive. His ways of fnding it becomes all intrusive. Meeting some interesting folk along the way, sometimes friends, sometimes prey.There is a Marvin and his friends in all of us. The wonderers, the dreamers, the helpers, the ones who show you and the ones who tell you. The idea of a true adventure isn't gone because of the internet or television. Adventure is in your heart, your mind, and your soul. Someone who is a wonderer and dreamer is Dave's pal, Larry. He is a writer of the fake and the fun, the weird...the underdogs.
