Tese de doutorado apresentada em 1998, mostra uma revis o de adjuvantes e saponinas com estruturas e texto discutindo um poss vel rela o atividade/estrutura deste complexo produto natural de caracter sticas anfif licas onde as por es polares (a cares) e apolares (agliconas) desempenham v rias fun es. Neste trabalho podemos observar a rela o de algumas saponinas em fun o da Leishmaniose e testes in vivo e in vitro. As saponinas foram isoladas de uma planta do Nordeste, Albizia saman e testadas em modelos in vivo e in vitro contra a Leishmaniose.
