Florida's C2C Trail Guide is a guidebook designed specifically for the 250-mile bicycle trail that provides an uninterrupted cross-Florida trail from Titusville to St. Petersburg. The trail (over 80% complete and to be completed by 2025) already attracts not only local users, but also bicyclists and cycle tourists from out-of-state. This book provides readers with a broad background of the communities through which they will ride. This is not a detailed how-to guide, nor does it provide lodging, camping or restaurant information; much of that information changes frequently and can be easily obtained via online searches. Instead, this book focuses on interesting cultural and natural aspects of the route. By highlighting the local flavor of small towns, the beauty of natural Florida, as well as local historical events, this book will introduce readers to the uniqueness of Florida. This includes, among many others, the Greek heritage of Tarpon Springs, Winter Garden's citrus and bass-fishing past, Titusville's role in space exploration, the natural world of manatees and migratory birds, beautiful fresh water springs, moss-shrouded oak trees, in addition to important historical Florida figures such as civil rights leaders Harry T. and Harriett V. Moore and Russian entrepreneur Peter Demens.
In this book a little boy named Danny goes on cool adventures to different places using his imagination.

Ten years ago there were no faith-based units in prisons outside South America. Today, they are spreading all over the world, including the United States, Europe and the Commonwealth. My Brother's Keeper is the first major study of a global phenomenon. Exploring the roots of faith-based units in South America, it explains why the Prison Service of England and Wales set up the first Christian-based unit in the western world in 1997 - and its rapid expansion. It also explains how, at exactly the same time, the United States introduced Christian-based units - and why they were complimented by interfaith and multifaith initiatives. At the heart of My Brother's Keeper is an interior account of life inside four Christian-based prison units in England. It draws on the findings of a detailed evaluation conducted by the authors for the Home Office, Prison Service and Kainos Community between 2000 and 2001, including an updated reconviction study. It is an authoritative account of an innovative programme. Its analysis of what works and what doesn't in faith-based units around the world makes My Brother's Keeper a valuable roadmap for all who care about improving prison conditions. It presents a vision of justice that is not just concerned with building more prisons but with rebuilding more prisoners. It argues that by making prisons more human and punishment more humane, faith-based units can be of value - and keep faith in prisons.

From the bestselling author of War of the Roses, soon to be a major motion picture: The Roses, starring Olivia Colman and Benedict Cumberbatch. In an attempt to reconnect with his two alienated adult children, George Temple replicates the memorable horse trek through the forbidding Yellowstone wilderness they had enjoyed twenty years earlier. But his callous children, Courtney and Scott, accompany him only to persuade him to restore the financial support he has withdrawn. As they are led by a drunken guide and a venal horse wrangler over potentially lethal terrain, their bonding experience quickly disintegrates. Nostalgia is corrupted into a nightmare of lust, betrayal, and entrapment as the children's disturbing motives are revealed and dark family secrets are exposed. Courtney's appetite for selfish and violent pursuits establishes her as one of the most evil women in fiction, alongside the likes of Lady Macbeth. Through her, Warren Adler explores how an obsession for celebrity and blind ambition can distort familial love and turn a beloved child into a grotesque monster. As he did in the iconic The War of the Roses, Adler paints a frightening picture of the American family, only more sinister.
