En lättläst och rolig berättelse om Thure Jonsson, som växer upp i Småland på 40-talet och har en hel del medfödda egenheter som följer honom i livet. Thure hade inte så mycket på fötterna, förutom småsår och lera förstås, när han växte upp i ett fattigt torp några mil utanför Växjö. Hans uppväxt och fortsatta liv är kantat av ett antal oväntade och slumpmässiga händelser som gör att han, när han närmar sig ålderdomen är mångmiljonär. Följ Thures smått osannolika resa genom livet och hans möten med kärleken, sorgen, lagens långa arm och smaken av hämndens ljuva sötma. Skulle du känna igen dig själv eller någon annan som gestaltats i boken, så är det helt och hållet ett bevis på "slumpens" fullkomlighet. Lennart Nordin är Sundsvallssonen som numera även kan kalla sig författare. Hans första bok Slumpen, Bosses bästa vän utkom 2014.

Pär Thorell (1923-1969) var en mycket begåvad konstnär som bodde i Linköping, Stockholm och Nordingrå. Hans dagar slutade tragiskt då han blev offer för en eldsvåda i sin bostad i Nordingrå. Hans liv kan sägas leva upp till konstnärsmyten om ett olyckligt geni, som skapade och drack om vartannat.
