Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANET) sind eine Untergruppe von MANET und gleichzeitig die Zukunft intelligenter Verkehrssysteme. VANETs werden zwischen den Fahrzeugen genutzt, um untereinander f r Sicherheitsma nahmen zu kommunizieren. VANETs bestehen aus grundlegenden Kommunikationsger ten, um ein Peer-to-Peer-Kommunikationsnetz aufzubauen. Die Fahrzeuge werden als Quell- und Zielknoten im VANET-Netz betrachtet. Es sorgt f r die Verteilung von Informationen ber die Knoten, um Kollisionen zu vermeiden. Der im VANET entwickelte Netzwerk-Router sorgt f r Sicherheit auf den Stra en, indem er Nachrichten zwischen den Knoten bertr gt. W hrend der bertragung sollten die Informationen von den Knoten zur richtigen Zeit ohne Verz gerung empfangen werden. Das Senden von Nachrichten in Verkehrsnetzen f hrt zu bertragungsfehlern, die zu Kollisionen f hren. Dies f hrt zu Redundanz in den Netztopologien und damit zu einer Zusammenarbeit bei der bertragung von Nachrichten zwischen den Fahrzeugknoten. Die Entwicklung zuverl ssiger und effizienter Routing-Protokolle zur Unterst tzung hochgradig unterschiedlicher und haupts chlich intermittierend verbundener Fahrzeugnetztopologien ist f r sicheres Reisen in ITS erforderlich.

Le reti VANET (Vehicular Ad hoc Networks) sono un sottoinsieme delle MANET e rappresentano il futuro dei sistemi di trasporto intelligenti. Le VANET sono accessibili tra i veicoli per comunicare tra di loro ai fini della sicurezza. Le VANET sono costituite da dispositivi di comunicazione di base per sviluppare una rete di comunicazione peer to peer. I veicoli sono considerati come nodi di origine e di destinazione nella rete VANET. Il sistema distribuisce le informazioni tra i nodi per evitare le collisioni. Il router di rete sviluppato in VANET garantisce la sicurezza del viaggio sulle strade trasmettendo messaggi tra i nodi. Durante la trasmissione, le informazioni dei nodi devono essere ricevute al momento giusto, senza alcun ritardo. La trasmissione di messaggi in una rete di traffico provoca un errore di trasmissione che si traduce in una collisione. La ridondanza nelle topologie di rete provoca una collaborazione nella trasmissione dei messaggi tra i nodi del veicolo. La progettazione di protocolli di instradamento affidabili ed efficienti per supportare topologie di reti veicolari altamente diversificate e per lo pi connesse in modo intermittente necessaria per la sicurezza dei viaggi negli ITS.

VANET (Vehicular ad-hoc networks) has become a significant research area due to its specific features and applications. VANET is a communication technology developed for better traffic management. It is a network of moving vehicles and stationary roadside units. Cloud computing is the next big thing, where the cloud technology altered the communication and computation, by separating computational assets from physical infrastructure. The aim of the cloud computing is "what resources you need and at what time". These days large number of vehicles are there on the roads and parking lots where the computational and communicational resources are underutilized which can be used to form cloud VANET. Few researchers proposed the idea of cloud VANET. In this thesis, it is assumed that vehicles are using cloud services.
