The book of Daniel is a very high octane type of book. There is not a single page of this book of the Bible that does not leave you absolutely breathless. Dr. Wagner's book will go through the entire book of Daniel and explain what was happening, details of prophecy, and how we are to use it in our everyday lives.

To survive the streets of New York she uses her wits and her fists and get the nickname "Right Hook Addie" for her trouble. Half-starved and destitute, she becomes a mail-order bride. Unfortunatly, her groom is one Eustace Fenner, Nowhere's most notorious resident. What's a girl to do? He's old, uncouth, and, well, not very nice. Into the fire indeed. How was she going to get out of this? With a little help from the Weavers and their friends, of course. Enjoy this sweet, clean, western as only Kit Morgan can deliver!

This chapter by chapter exposition of the book of Daniel begins in approximately 605BC with the first invasion of Judah by the cruel and fearsome Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar. Because of Daniel's faithfulness, God intervenes on his behalf, providing information that no human could possibly know. Now blessed with unusual wisdom and the gift of dream interpretation, Daniel rises from a Jewish captive to an important position of influence that spans five kings and two empires. In his later years, Daniel is visited by the archangel Gabriel who reveals to him a part of God's eternal plan pertaining to the future of idolatrous Israel. This eternal plan involved the rise of three more empires and a perversely self-willed ruler known in scripture as "the little horn." This ruler, whom history identifies as Antiochus Epiphanes, is a type of the coming antichrist. Examining his character and actions will aid in the recognition of the future antichrist.
Open Door Church has served as a homeless shelter for more than a decade, but when their pastor dies unexpectedly, it's up to Galen and Maggie to take up the reins and keep the ministry going, which won't be easy, as newcomers seem intent on tearing it down. And then there's young Daniel, who seems to be working miracles in their midst, which of course, isn't possible. Or is it? (This is Book 2 of the Shelter Trilogy. All three books are available in large print.)
