Early Korea is dedicated to developing the fields of early Korean history and archaeology in the English language. The present volume consists of six scholarly works by specialists active in these fields. Three studies focus on the topic of recent advances in historical archaeology on the Korean peninsula and adjacent regions and how this is changing the ways historians understand the history of the earliest states on the peninsula. Another study surveys the origins and development of ceramic traditions in Korea based on recently recovered archaeological data. Finally, two studies discuss the practice of heritage management in Korea, focusing on rescue archaeology and heritage protection.

Based on a true account, this full-length drama raises fundamental and challenging questions about life, faith and sacrifice for all to consider. The play is followed by over 40 pages of historical notes on the life of Mona Mahmudnizhad, her family and her community. These notes contain details of Mona's life shared by her late mother that have not yet published in English. Our Friend Mona tells the true story of Mona Mahmudnizhad, a 16-year-old girl who sacrificed her life for unity and peace in the world. Mona grew up in Shiraz-a city famous for its poets and roses. Shiraz is also a city sacred to Baha'is, for it is where their Faith began. And it was in that holy city, after revolution swept through Iran in 1979, where the persecutions against the peaceful Baha'is grew most fierce. The violence reached a peak in June of 1983 with the hanging of ten women, lovely and innocent souls that the people named "The Brides of the City." The youngest of these was last to go, and Mona kissed the rope that would end her earthly life. Azadeh Rohanian Perry was blessed to also grow up in Shiraz. She and her family were touched by the lives of many of the martyrs and heroic souls of that period. Among them, Azadeh got to know Mona and her saintly father, Yadu'llah. This book provides Azadeh's first-person perspective along with detailed accounts of Mona and her family shared by Mona's mother and sister-Mrs. Farkhundih and Taraneh Mahmudnizhad, both of whom survived that period of persecution. Reading Mona's story, and the stories of those other wonderful souls who suffered with her, brings us closer to a secret they uncovered: How can you turn fear into courage, anger into calm, and despair at the darkness and injustice in the world into a hopeful vision of humanity's bright future? Consequently, generational conflict is one of the last bastions of acceptable discrimination in today's workplace. In order to create a truly collaborative workplace, organizational leaders must encourage associates to view generational differences as a valuable strength, rather than a weakness. Hence, the intent of this manuscript is to empower organizations to find common ground in order to bridge the multi-generational workforce gaps that permeate. This book will predominately focus on engaging with the newest generation in the workplace...the Millennials. At the onset, this research will provide a portrait of Millennials, which will include their modus operandi in the workplace. Once Millennials are understood, strategies and best practices are developed to address a multitude of issues that exist within the workplace. This process will include dispelling myths that pervade and setting the record straight about facts versus fiction. In addition, it will explore Millennial language, particularly jargon and vernacular which is commonly used in the workplace. Moreover, this research will examine the significance of technology, the emergence of social media, and the importance of education for this "digital native" generation. From a strategic leadership perspective, this book will continue seeking ways to bridge the multi-generational gap in the workplace by exploring how to align their ethical values and develop more collaborative relationships between these distinct cohorts. Similarly, it examine how to motivate and cultivate loyalty among the Millennial associates within the workplace. Lastly, it will discern various organizational leadership styles that are effective and conducive for Millennials. Ultimately, this research is designed to equip organizational leaders to more effectively engage their Millennial associates with their multi-generational workforce.

I've been extremely fortunate in my photography career to be able to sit with some of the most famous athletes in this country and listen to the stories they tell. Normally, this is in a private setting after a Pro-Am golf event or at an evening dinner presentation, where they are the speaker. Either way, only that immediate audience will ever hear these anecdotes.in this book, these Legends, or soon to be Legends of golf, reveal their antics, their stories and their challenges that make them more akin to us that you would ever think. How Jack Nicklaus shanked a ball off the 12th tee at the Masters in Augusta that almost took out Bobby Jones or how Fred Couples duffed a ball off the tee that bounced, sadly, into the water just ahead off the tee box. Doesn't that remind you of something you might have done at some time? They face the same challenges growing up as we did, they simply took a different path. Gary Player states, "Trevino was fantastic, you know, and his happiness was contagious. He always had great stories to tell and this is one of the things I've tried to do with all this traveling around the world, to prioritize all the great stories I've heard. I've done a lot of after-dinner speaking and it's a wonderful thing to recall all these great stories. You'd better be sure to write them down." That's what I want to achieve with this book, to be a historian, if you will. I want to make sure we never forget what made these players the people they are today, before it's too late and they are gone forever. That would be such a shame.
