Fifty Select Passages from the Poetic New Testament and the Complete Book of Mark
This book is intended to be used as a study manual. The fifty passages were pulled out from the New Testament because of their value as training/study tools. The "Biblical Food for Thought" and "Topics of Discussion" were added for the same reason. Then, the Book of Mark was added for a special reason. Many, many hours were invested on Mark 16:18 over a two-year period. But the finished product was worth every one of those many hours. This verse is discussed at great length in "Topics of Discussion." It is our prayer that reading and studying this book is a learning experience for everyone who will read and study it.

Works collected here include masterpieces by David Hume, Immanuel Kant, and Jean-Jacques Rousseau, as well as religious sermons and moral debates on the issues of the day, such as the slave trade. The Age of Reason saw conflict between Protestantism and Catholicism transformed into one between faith and logic -- a debate that continues in the twenty-first century.++++The below data was compiled from various identification fields in the bibliographic record of this title.
