If Dr. Jameson Elders, the only man Elizabeth ever loved, a man of impeccable honor, could abandon her at the altar, then how could she trust any man with her heart.Driven by the pain and disappointment of her love's desertion on her wedding day, Elizabeth Beck leaves all she knows behind, traveling west to teach the children of the valley known as Misty Creek. She finds the valley very different than the windblown prairie, the broad land covered with swaying dried up grass of her travels, for it is a vibrant, fertile land alive and green. Though the valley resembles the familiar countryside of central Ohio, in Misty Creek Elizabeth faces a very different life. Isolated from the all things she has known, she must face difficulties, dangers, and deal with the pain she had hoped to leave behind. But she also builds lasting friendships and finds that the heart yearns for what she is certain it cannot have.Misty Creek is Elizabeth's story....

In an anthology of diverse poems, Mzia Kvirikashvili Lawrence highlights the work of Georgian poets on their experiences, nature, and the people who surround their lives. The shared poems explore the cry of a thirsty woman from the desert as she longs for the arrival of spring, the joy of the purest of friendships as others count our blessings, the breaking of invisible beliefs in dreams that remind of a flow of multi-coloured tunes and rhythms, the rain that accompanies three-day-old butterflies as the fog reaches the depth of the abyss, the life lessons that come with the high price of tears and games without rules that either make us stronger or weaker, and a British cellist who fights with fire in her soul while touching the strong strings of her instrument with her bow and destroys the frame of the transient world. Misty-Coloured Pearl is an anthology of verse that shares the reflections of Georgian poets as they offer unique lyrical perspectives on life, love, and everything in between.

What's love got to do with it? If you're Cupid, everything. If you're me, not a thing in the sea. I don't believe in love.Poseidon is smoking some bad seaweed if he expects me to take the one job I'm obviously not qualified for. Rumor has it, Cupid is a chubby baby with a bad attitude. That's all I need. A pissed off porcine toddler with love arrows gunning for my tail because I took his job.On top of that, the idiot I'm kind of seeing who shall remain nameless-mostly because I don't know his name... don't judge-left red and silver magic all over my skin and hair last time we... umm...went on a date. And guess what? It doesn't wash off.Poseidon saw me sparkling away and now I'm freakin' Cupid. Getting to the bottom of this abyss means finding what's his name and thrashing his fine, smexy behind with my fin.Why does this send shivers of delight all the way to the tip of my tail you might ask? I have no clue and no time to figure it out. Don't judge.I'm about to give love a bad name.

Misty Shadows Of Hope is the 14th book in the Bregdan Chronicles historical fiction series. As of today, there are 14 books in the series. Make sure you start reading with # 1 - Storm Clouds Rolling In. It's readers like you who have turned the series into a world-wide best-seller. Thank you Book Description: Is Reconstruction healing America, or is it really a covering for a new war?America continues the struggle to become a country for everyone...Carrie and Abby, hoping for a peaceful visit to the plantation find themselves pulled into a violent conflict in Richmond as struggle for control of the city boils over.Rose and Moses are happy on the plantation, enjoying a respite from all the violence, while Susan travels north to expand the plantation breeding operation.Matthew finds himself embroiled in another type of southern war as KKK violence spills into North Carolina. What he discovers will change things for Janie.Jeremy and Marietta are forging through challenges to create a new life in Philadelphia, but wonder if Jeremy's new passion for baseball will be the tipping point for the violence they hoped to avoid when they left Richmond.Bregdan Women comes to life with an astounding array of women fighting to change America for the better. When everyone really just wants a simple, clear future, each person finds they have to discover misty shadows of hope in the midst of the life they are living.*****Volume # 14 of the Bregdan Chronicles continues the sweeping historical saga that now encompasses 1870.How many books will be in the Bregdan Chronicles? No one knows yet... Ginny intends to write these character's stories, one year at a time, for as long as she is able to write. She is passionate about bringing history to life through historical fiction. Since she is amazingly healthy, that could be for a very long time She doesn't like stories to end any more than you do. This one won't end for a very long time Review: As a follower of this series, I was intrigued when author Ginny broached the subject several times about Granite's age. Before this book was released I wondered how much time Carrie's best friend had left as a character. Although still unanswered, I see we were traveling along the same thread. I find the whole KKK issue interesting and appalling at the same time. Having lived through the troublesome 60s and beyond, I am surprised that we as a nation and as a society are no further along in our racial development than what's portrayed in the 1800s. Makes my heart ache. As always I recommend this series. It's wholesome, I will assume mostly historically accurate, and it makes a reader think about their biases and family indoctrination relating to those biases. Thank you Ginny Dye for being such a positive guide during this period of history. Review: Ginny, thank you. You are writing a series I don't think exists except for you. I fell in love with learning the truths about slavery and the civil war through historical novels. They stick with me more than ready a straight history book because I can emotionally connect with the characters. Of all the series and books I've read, this is the only series I know of that continues beyond the end of the war and into the real issues of reconstruction. I don't believe enough attention is given to this pivotal point in our history. The political corruption that took place during this time created the Jim Crow era and another civil war that silently raged for a continued 100 years. Still to this day African Americans suffer from repercussions of this sorry history. The main characters in this story represent what we could be if we chose to be better human beings. . I will choose to remember grace and compassion.
