The improvement of human performance and safety has been the subject of constant research, considered fundamental in the role of organisations seeking excellence. For those industries involved with high technological risk, such as the oil and gas segment, it is due to the realisation that control measures efforts have been researched without taking into account the different levels of occupational risk, situational aspects of organisational culture, components of safety control measures, among others. Among these findings are that human failure has been pointed out as a significant share of root causes of unwanted events, led in industries by the "human factor". Among the "human factors", risk perception has been incorporated into research as a goal to better understand the interaction of the man-machine-organisational system set, so that this interaction has acquired great value for the inclusion of a safe process, no longer being seen in isolation. The research covers the element of perception as something inherent to the cognitive capacity of the worker and attributes the existing gaps to the set of organisational factors.

O erotismo que vemos aqui ora rom ntico, refinado, impl cito, ora obsceno, pervertido, expl cito e at bizarro. Islam and feminism are often thought of as incompatible. Through a vivid ethnography of Muslim and secular women activists in Jakarta, Indonesia, Rachel Rinaldo shows that this is not always the case. Examining a feminist NGO, Muslim women's organizations, and a Muslim political party, Rinaldo reveals that democratization and the Islamic revival in Indonesia are shaping new forms of personal and political agency for women. These unexpected kinds of agency draw on different approaches to interpreting religious texts and facilitate different repertoires of collective action - one oriented toward rights and equality, the other toward more public moral regulation. As Islam becomes a primary source of meaning and identity in Indonesia, some women activists draw on Islam to argue for women's empowerment and equality, while others use Islam to advocate for a more Islamic nation. Mobilizing Piety demonstrates that religious and feminist agency can coexist and even overlap, often in creative ways. "Rachel Rinaldo gives us a richly documented and path-breaking study of how Muslim women in Indonesia draw on both Islam and feminism to argue and imagine political and social changes. Her findings go against a pervasive view of the incompatibility of Islam and feminism: she finds that these very diverse global discourses can in fact work together towards desirable political outcomes."-Saskia Sassen, Columbia University, and author of A Sociology of Globalization "This original study conducted in the world's largest Muslim-majority country strikes me as one of the most interesting and important works on Islam and women in recent years. Rather than pit secularists against religious-minded activists in debates over women's rights, Rachel Rinaldo shows that the major divide in contemporary Indonesia - as in much of the Muslim world - is more complex, and centers on struggles over what it means to be a Muslim, a woman, and an Indonesian."-Robert Hefner, Professor of Anthropology, Boston University

Business Negotiations and the Law: The Protection of Weak Professional Parties in Standard Form Contracting aims to explore the issues surrounding contract negotiations between entrepreneurs and other professionals when one of the parties does not have the same level of bargaining power as the other. The need to protect weaker parties from unfair contract terms exists not only in relationships between businesses and consumers, but in business to business contracts also. This book focuses on the problem of small enterprises, independent contractors and other professional weak parties and examines these from a European point of view. There are significant differences between Member States as to decisions regarding regulatory context on the protection of weaker professional parties in asymmetrical contractual situations. However, European businesses are overwhelmingly smaller in size, so protecting weaker parties becomes key in facilitating successful and efficient negotiations. The book provides a critical and comparative overview of the area and recent regulatory developments, both to clarify the direction that European legislation is heading, and to explore the tools needed to assure the effectiveness of the common market. This text will be of interest to policy makers, researchers of European legislation, and students of commercial and business law.

The Phantasma Pop Coloring Book presents 70 of my "Automatist Human Drawings" free improvised, semi-conscious drawings created with Pigma(R) Inks on paper. They reflect associative imaginary spaces, line, form, and rhythm. As I was drawing these, I was enjoying the fictitious narratives that were coming to mind reflecting an interest in communication, trans-species relationships, and interactionThey are part of an ongoing practice I have had for 30 years, often as relaxation from more technical art pursuits involving large scale robotic and bio-art installations.I provide this digital coloring book for you to relax and color, as well as add lines and stories of your own.
