From New York Times bestselling and Harvey award-winning graphic novelist Matt Kindt comes this deluxe hardcover edition of the humorous espionage adventure. It's John Wick meets Wes Anderson in this mystery-thriller about a secret organization that's developed the perfect spy. Who is the perfect spy? A spy who doesn't even realize they are a spy. AKA the "useful idiot." This particular useful idiot is named Jay. Jay is sent on missions without even realizing he's on a mission. Until he picks up the wrong phone with the wrong secret intel and now Russian hit-squads and elite assassins are after him. But Jay believes he was a sleeper agent--and really is the "spy superb". His complete obliviousness and lack of survival skills may be the only thing that saves him in this globe-trotting espionage tale ...where nothing is what it seems...but also...kind of actually is what it seems. Collects Spy Superb #1-3 with brand new cover art in a deluxe hardcover format with gold embossed foil, a ribbon marker, and kraft paper-like dustjacket that hides the book in plain sight. Spy Superb is the latest release from Flux House Books, a new boutique imprint that will feature the writing (and sometimes) art of acclaimed comics creator Matt Kindt, with crime, science fiction, horror, and humor stories, all told and presented in startling and untraditional ways.

Things I Never Said is a collection of free verse and prose poetry that explores life - specifically after it has been reset several times. Told initially from the perspective of a child, this novel chronicles the upbringing of one girl as her environment, family, and cultural identity changes over the course of eighteen years. Throughout the three sections - Afterbirth, Afterlife, and Rebirth - the speaker details the trials and tribulations of her journey while in foster care, after reuniting with her birth parents, and after severing the ties between herself and her biological family members at fifteen years old. Things I Never Said captures gratifying and gut-wrenching moments in one survivor's life as she is exposed to physical and sexual violence, mental illness, loss, isolation, and neglect. This is an invitation to the severest moments of the speaker's journey; as well as an invitation to everything she has extracted from them.

The nine non-fiction pieces illustrate the myriad dimensions the genre is comprised of today. From memoir to biography, from hybrid to lyric, the work of the 2023 Biography and Creative Non-Fiction cohort forms a beautiful cross-section of the field’s furthest frontiers, representing the ever-expanding breadth of the discipline. From reflections on mental illness to recollections on travel, from intricately revived family histories to journeys through previously unknown territories, these works are powerfully gripping in their intelligence and striking in their vulnerability. To engage with them is to be transported to the depths of the heart and returned to the world a changed person—in the way that only the very best non-fiction can do. With forewords by Sharlene Teo and Stephanie Bishop and introductions by Andrew Cowan and Helen Smith, this anthology offers a luminous showcase of new writing talent. In turn surreal, moving and wickedly funny, the fiction in this anthology represents the best work from the 2023 graduates of UEA’s Prose Fiction MA. To read this work is to be transported across time, genre, geography and experience. Delve into speculative visions of London, Dublin and Namibia; explore the complicated histories of New York, Kashmir and interwar Europe. Hear from star-crossed lovers and dysfunctional families, washed-up musicians and record crate diggers, jog through magical woodland in the eucalyptus air, augment your emotions at an underground rave, or play the villain in someone else’s story. Meanwhile, a chimpanzee has an existential crisis; twins dabble in cannibalism; a friendly cult welcomes you to Washington. Or celebrate Eid al-Fitr, protest climate change on the Dartford Crossing, and ponder: who did kill Dickie?

Feminist Spaces introduces students and academic researchers to major themes and empirical studies in feminist geography. It examines new areas of feminist research including: embodiment, sexuality, masculinity, intersectional analysis, and environment and development. In addition to considering gender as a primary subject, this book provides a comprehensive overview of feminist geography by highlighting contemporary research conducted from a feminist framework which goes beyond the theme of gender to include issues such as social justice, activism, (dis)ability, and critical pedagogy. Through case studies, this book challenges the construction of dichotomies that tend to oversimplify categories such as developed and developing, urban and rural, and the Global North and South, without accounting for the fluid and intersecting aspects of gender, space, and place. The chapters weave theoretical and empirical material together to meet the needs of students new to feminism, as well as those with a feminist background but new to geography, through attention to basic geographical concepts in the opening chapter. The text encourages readers to think of feminist geography as addressing not only gender, but a set of methodological and theoretical perspectives applied to a range of topics and issues. A number of interactive exercises, activities, and ‘boxes’ or case studies, illustrate concepts and supplement the text. These prompts encourage students to explore and analyze their own positionality, as well as motivate them to change and impact their surroundings. Feminist Spaces emphasizes activism and critical engagement with diverse communities to recognize this tradition in the field of feminism, as well as within the discipline of geography. Combining theory and practice as a central theme, this text will serve graduate level students as an introduction to the field of feminist geography, and will be of interest to students in related fields such as environmental studies, development, and women’s and gender studies.
