Imagine if you lived in the White House The first book centers around three of Theodore Roosevelt's children, Kermit, Ethel and Archie. Their mother is away and they are left in the charge of a comical nanny named Mrs. Duffit and their President father, who is very preoccupied with the visit from a quirky Russian Ambassador, Count Cassini. Eager to keep the children out of trouble, President Roosevelt sends his children on a treasure hunt--just like Treasure Island, only in the White House. There are mysteries popping out of Dolley Madison paintings and strange goings-on in the attic--and the result is a rollicking good time and a crash course in American history too. Ron Kidd has masterfully adapted the script from the original play into a novel for us, and Ard Hoyt's playful illustrations are interspersed throughout.
This book is a true story about a Turkey that my sister Cathie made into a real person. My sister lives in the mountains of Placerville California and every animal she had on her farm became part of the family. All the animals tried many time to come into the house especially the Turkey. Teddy the Turkey was especially taken with my niece Jaime, he would puff up his feathers and dance around Jaime who was 3 years old. The duck Peeper's was a very unique duck, he also like to be around Jaime. Teddy always thouqht it was a qood idea to teach children not to talk to stranqers. Freckley was a real cow with a calf and they too were made in to real people. Mysister dog Rommel was the watch dog of the neighborhood. Mr. Fad-Eagle was always around because he was on the farm before most of the other animals were every there. All mychildren , Julie, Caren, and Marc loved to come to their Aunt Cat hie farm in fact my brother and his wife Aunt ie Cher r ie and Mario, Aunties son Tony and her husband Bob. Since his birth in 1902 the teddy bear has captured the hearts of young and old alike. He has survived revolutions, flown in jet fighters and taken part in land and water speed records and in times of great conflict he has stayed by his companion’s side. Children everywhere adore him because he is patient with them and his universal appeal has inspired adult collectors from all over the globe to spend countless amounts of money. With a range of previously unpublished images, teddy bear historian and collector Lorraine Hitchings offers a wonderfully nostalgic look back at one of the true icons of the twentieth century.

She is now widowed with a strikingly beautiful six-year-old daughter.Enter Jerry Weinstein, Esq., a rotund, gourmand bachelor lawyer specializing in criminal law and a very dead Bradford Vincente, the 17-year-old son of pizza king Tony "Pan-a-Mint" Vincente of Palos Verdes...Set in the South Bay beach communities of suburban Los Angeles some thirty years ago, the novel is a lurid tale of murder, lust and the inevitable consequences of ravenous appetites that can never be satisfied.
