Il protagonista ha molto da raccontare sui viaggi in America, in Unione Sovietica, in India e nel Regno Unito nonch sul suo programma di censimenti degli uccelli residenti o svernanti sul territorio lombardo, di inanellamenti a scopo di studio pure di uccelli nidificanti o svernanti in Lombardia, dei vani tentativi di salvare e riscattare l'uccellagione, antica, adorata ed esecrata pratica venatoria, delle battaglie per tentare di salvare e parimenti nobilitare il vecchio zoo di Milano e infine dell'istituzione e funzionamento di due stazioni ornitologiche gestite in proprio, una dedicata all'inanellamento a scopo di studio, l'altra attiva in un campo specializzato della etologia, la bioacustica e su un gruppo particolare di uccelli, i pappagalli. Chiude il libro un singolare ricordo sulla strana organizzazione dell'universit che chiude i rami che funzionano meglio.

Os textos que aqui apresento foram escritos entre 2012 e 2016. S o recortes de um tempo des rtico em minha vida. Tempo em que oscilei entre a angustiante nsia por empreender coisas e o desespero de me encontrar presa ao passado, como quando ainda n o rompemos com a corrente que nos prende pr ximos gaiola. N o h nada mais simb lico para mim: quando dou luz ao futuro e quando me percebo rec m-nascida.Aqui, contos de deserto, enquanto espero a chegada de um tempo que n o se conta nos dedos ou nos ponteiros de um rel gio. Guides modern performers and scholars through the intricacies of German Baroque metric theory, via analyses of treatises and organ music by J.S. Bach and other leading composers, such as Buxtehude, Bruhns, and Weckman. Before the advent of the metronome ca. 1800, there was little in the way of a standardized, commonly accessible method for precisely communicating how fast musical compositions should be performed. Instead of absolute time (that is, plottable on a metronome), Baroque musicians developed notational cues for relative speed: this was accomplished primarily through combinations of time signatures and note values. Julia Dokter's Tempo and Tactus in the German Baroque helps decode these tempo cues for modern performers. Part 1 investigates metric theory in music treatises from roughly 1600 to 1790. Parts 2 and 3 explore the organ scores of pivotal composers such as J. S. Bach, Dieterich Buxtehude, Matthias Weckman, and Nicolaus Bruhns, and present case studies demonstrating how Baroque tempo indications may interact in performance situations.
