This master's thesis was developed in the Postgraduate Course in Agricultural Engineering at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). Due to the volume of information and with the help of the other authors, it was transformed into this work, which provides technical, technological and economic viability information on the cut gerbera crop grown under different water availability. The experiment was carried out at the Polytechnic College of the Federal University of Santa Maria - RS. The content is aimed not only at specialists in the subject, but also at anyone interested in learning about gerbera cultivation, and it is hoped that this book will serve as a reference and inspiration for many other works on the subject.

Jahrhunderts, 5 Eintragungen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Der Roman "Der Schüler Gerber" von Friedrich Torberg schildert die Probleme des 19- jährigen intelligenten aber faulen Gymnasiasten Kurt Gerber, der im letzten Jahr vor der Reifeprüfung vom herrschsüchtigen und sadistischen Professor Kupfer tyrannisiert wird. Nicht nur die bevorstehende Matura, auch die erste Liebe, und die Krankheit seines Vaters machen ihm zu schaffen. Er bekommt in Kupfers Fächern zwei "Nichtgenügend". Daraufhin nimmt Kurt Nachhilfestunden, wodurch er sich auch verbessert. Kupfers Tyrannei wird immer stärker. Wegen einer Unterschriftenfälschung will er Kurts Vater sprechen. Infolge der Aufregung muss dieser in ein Sanatorium eingewiesen werden, und darf sich unter keinen Umständen aufregen. Kurts Druck, die Matura zu bestehen wächst. Bei der Matura fällt er in Mathe durch, bringt ansonsten jedoch passable Leistungen. Während er die Prüfungsergebnisse abwartet kommen ihm Zweifel, ob er die Matura bestanden hat. Sie werden immer stärker. Er begeht Selbstmord. Die Prüfungskommission hätte ihn für reif erklärt. In der Buchanalyse wird neben der Charakteristik der einzelnen Personen genauer auf den Protagonisten Kurt Gerber und die Ereignisse, die ihn schließlich zum Selbstmord führen eingegangen. Stilistische Mittel des Buches werden aufgeführt und zudem wird über die Biografie und Intention des Autors Torberg berichtet.
Gerbera is one of the important cut flower crops and commercially important in floriculture trade in India and other countries on account of wide range of flower colours, shapes and sizes. The genus Gerbera was founded by the pre-Linnean botanist, Gronovius, and was named in honor of German naturalist, Traugott Gerber, who travelled in Russia in 1743. In the family Asteraceae (composite), this group at present comprises 45 species, native to tropical Asia and Africa. About 7 species were recorded in India, distributed in the temperate Himalayas from Kashmir to Nepal at altitudes of 1300 to 3200 meters. Gerbera species of Indian origin are Gerbera anandria, Gerbera kunzeana, and Gerbera languinosa, Gerbera macrophylla, Gerbera nivea, Gerbera ovalifolia and Gerbera piloselloides. The cultivated species is stemless perennial herb. The leaves are petioled, entire or pinnatilobed, coarse or sometimes leathery. The scapes are single flowered. The flowers are very attractive, many flowered and the rays are in one or two rows. The inner rows, when present, are very short and sometimes tubular and two- lipped; disc florets are also sometimes two - lipped.
