This book presents the first comprehensive and critical account of Jeffrey Alexander’s cultural sociology. Alexander has proposed a “strong program” in cultural sociology that analyses the cultural pragmatics of social performance, and his hermeneutical approach connects meaningful political action with deeper symbolic structures of social life. His highly original account of the civil sphere, as an institutionalized domain that is shaped by the discourse of liberty and solidarity and that sustains universalizing cultural aspirations provides an illuminating perspective on how democracy functions, and fails to function, in contemporary societies. This book charts the development of Alexander’s thought in all its complexity. Through its critical readings, it also opens up a dialogue with other contemporary approaches in sociology, situating Alexander’s work in relation to others and highlighting alternative views that challenge his ideas. It is an invaluable introduction for anyone who wishes to learn more about the work of one of the most creative sociologists of our time.

This is a story about womankind's natural role as guardians of the Flame of Spirit that dwells within the heart of all human beings. Lilith, the eternal root of the sacred feminine from humankind's spiritual genesis, symbolizes archetypally this role women once held by sacred design and divine intent. They were known as the Keepers of the Flame, those who oversaw and guided the way humans organized themselves in all affairs that governed their lives. The foundation for their way of life was based upon Natural Law versus man-made laws. One of its core principles was the universal practice of giving, sharing and including. The purpose of this work is to reach out to those who want to go beyond patriarchal conditioning by showing that the history we have been led and taught to believe as true, especially about womankind, is false. In fact, what is true about human nature and its original way of life came before the patriarchy, what is referred to as the matriarchy. The original archetype of Lilith is described based on the teachings of Jeffrey Wolf Green with the intent to help bolster and invigorate every woman's spirit by showing her the way back home to her own natural self; to stand again as one individual who exists as part of a group consciousness, the species human, interwoven into an even larger family comprised of all Earth's sacred beings, and by doing so, to reconnect to the Spirit that dwells within each and every heart linking all to her own, and to relearn how to speak its Truths with passion and conviction for the benefit of all. That is Lilith.***************************************You will know truth when it speaks to your soul. It is a knowingness that simply exists beyond the words. As I read through the book, I felt an immediate resonance with the concepts put forth by the author. I learned, I absorbed, I embraced. Somehow I remembered. The remembering felt as natural as breath in, breath out. Great educators like Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell have described how ancient myths continue to inform and live on within our collective unconscious. Our great spiritual teachers, many of whom are referenced within the pages of this book, remind each one of us of our connection to universal source, to the divinity that exists within each one of us. They invite us to embark on the journey inward, to reconnect with our center, our soul, and with the source of all that is. In this luminous book, the author exquisitely and simply synthesizes the knowledge imparted by the spiritual masters regarding our Creatress force. She speaks of the transgender whole of the sacred feminine in its unfiltered and unconditioned version. This is not the Lilith story with the overlay of patriarchal conditionings that give an explanation for humanity's spiritual downfall, but rather that of her preHerstory - of the unified, fecund and regenerative Creatress seed from which all life has sprung. I invite you to allow your own knowingness to verify the truth contained within these pages. Don't read this book - experience it, for yourself, for your soul.Rose MarcusEvolutionary Astrologer, Author, "Insights into Evolutionary Astrology"

Few serial killers in history have garnered as much attention as Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer. Although Dahmer killed seventeen young men and boys, it was not so much the number of people he killed that makes him stand out among famous serial killers, but more so the acts of depravity that he committed on the corpses of his victims. In this true crime story you will read how Dahmer transitioned from a loner to serial killer, committing numerous unnatural acts along the way such as necrophilia and cannibalism. Following in the macabre tradition of another infamous Wisconsin serial killer--Ed Gein--Jeffrey Dahmer terrorized Milwaukee for most of the 1980s until he was finally captured in 1991. Perhaps one of the most frightening aspects of Jeffrey Dahmer's serial killer career was how easy he was able to lure his victims into his trap. Dahmer possessed above average intellect, was conventionally good looking, and usually had a calm demeanor that could disarm even the most paranoid of people. Because of these traits, Dahmer was able to evade justice numerous times, which allowed him to keep killing. Truly, Dahmer was able to fool his family, the police, his neighbors, and even the judicial system into believing that he was not a threat; but during the entire time his kill count increased and the body parts of his victims began to pile up around his apartment. Open the pages of this book to read a story that is among the most disturbing of all true crime serial killers. You will follow the course of Dahmer's life from an alcoholic outcast in high school to a vicious predator who stalked the streets of Milwaukee. Finally, you will read about Dahmer's trial, his jail house murder, and the impact that his many crimes had on Milwaukee.

The straight world has a hard time accepting Jeffrey Epstein. He is a self-made billionaire. A college dropout from a hard-working family. He has a gift for gab and a gift for math. He went to work with investment bankers selling deals and he is good at it. Soon he had his own company handling investments for billionaires only. Millions of dollars is just chump change to these people. Jeffrey dealt with billions. Taking large amounts of money and making it into even larger amounts. In the process he was able to scrape off a lot of money for himself. And he invested wisely and accumulated over a billion dollars for himself. He worked in that financial gray area of what is legal or illegal. Ethical or unscrupulous. Regular people don't even have that consideration or even know about the gray areas. It is for the very wealthy. That is where Epstein flourished. He was the ultimate hustler with money, with wealthy individuals, and teenaged girls. And he shared them with his cronies. It was his way of showing off. And making connections for his money deals. The average person can never understand all this. They condemn Jeffrey without trying to understand what was happening. And, of course a large percentage of average Americans are anti-semitic, and they hold that against Jeffrey also.To Jeffrey's detriment, he flaunted the law against sex with underage girls. It doesn't matter that they were already having sex and some of them were actual street prostitutes. That doesn't matter to many people. The point is they were under 18 years old and were expected to still be virgins. At least until they were married. That is a good system if it works. But does it relate to the real world when girls start having sex much younger and even in some cases, prostitute themselves for the lure of the cash payment. An attorney for Epstein, Marc Fernich, called for a "full investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mr. Epstein's death."Fernich said he was speaking personally, not as a representative of Epstein's defense team. He said several parties can be blamed for the death, including "overzealous prosecutors," "pandering politicians," compliant judges" and a "hysterical press corps.""The public needs to know exactly what happened and why -- and how his custodians could have let it occur," Fernich saidAttorney General William Barr put out a statement saying: "I was appalled to learn that Jeffrey Epstein was found dead early this morning from an apparent suicide while in federal custody. Mr. Epstein's death raises serious questions that must be answered. In addition to the FBI's investigation, I have consulted with the Inspector General who is opening an investigation into the circumstances of Mr. Epstein's death."
