Coterie Poetics and the Beginnings of the English Literary Tradition
In Coterie Poetics and the Beginnings of the English Literary Tradition, R. D. Perry reveals how poetic coteries formed and maintained the English literary tradition. Perry shows that, from Geoffrey Chaucer to Edmund Spenser, the poets who bridged the medieval and early modern periods created a profusion of coterie forms as they sought to navigate their relationships with their contemporaries and to the vernacular literary traditions that preceded them. Rather than defining coteries solely as historical communities of individuals sharing work, Perry reframes them as products of authors signaling associations with one another across time and space, in life and on the page. From Geoffrey Chaucer's associations with both his fellow writers in London and with his geographically distant French contemporaries, to Thomas Hoccleve's emphatic insistence that he was "aqweyntid" with Chaucer even after Chaucer's death, to John Lydgate's formations of "virtual coteries" of a wide range of individuals alive and dead who can only truly come together on the page, the book traces how writers formed the English literary tradition by signaling social connections. By forming coteries, both real and virtual, based on shared appreciation of a literary tradition, these authors redefine what should be valued in that tradition, shaping and reshaping it accordingly. Perry shows how our notion of the English literary tradition came to be and how it could be imagined otherwise.

Lymph node pathology is a complex and rapidly evolving field that requires integration of morphologic findings with a number of ancillary studies, as well as clinical information, to diagnose neoplastic and non-neoplastic hematopoietic disorders. Lymphomas are currently classified according to the 2016 Revision of the World Health Organization (WHO) Classification, which emphasizes, and for some diagnoses mandates, the integration of clinical information in diagnostic decision making. Successful collaboration and teamwork between pathology and clinical specialties (especially hematology/oncology) are paramount for excellent patient care. In addition to diagnosis, pathology plays a significant role in lymphoma prognostication and therefore contributes to patient’s management and follow-up. Lymph Node Pathology for Clinicians provides a concise overview of different entities in lymph node pathology with the primary audience being clinicians. Not all entities are covered, but, rather, the most common and/or clinically most relevant ones were included. This text is intended as a quick reference for a clinician to become familiar with pathologic aspects of lymphomas and the thought process of a pathologist. Particular consideration is given to relevant diagnostic and prognostic ancillary studies. Organized with an interdisciplinary approach for effective management of lymph node disorders, this text aims to educate our clinical colleagues on the most important aspects of lymph node pathology.

This book weaves together concerns from three different literatures in philosophy: the logical analysis of propositional attitude reports (Quine), the semantics and metaphysics of cognition (Fodor, Putnam, Burge), and issues of causation and externalism in epistemology (Gettier, Goldman, Lehrer). The topics these literatures deal with fit naturally together, but the literatures do not. Often ideas are developed in isolation from the others; sometimes authors in one area see the relevance of the others, but do not have the patience to get things straight. This work is based on the version of Philip R. Henry's dissertation that was left behind after his untimely death in 1987. Professor Julius Moravscik, Henry's advisor, and Professor John Perry, a member of Henry's committee, felt it worthwhile to make the ideas of this serious and talented philosopher available to the philosophy community.
