R.E.B.I.R.T.H is an acronym meaning Realizing Everyone Becomes Invincible Right Through Hurt. My work is a self-help guide that chronicles the stages of grief and healing one
TODAY's RENEWING F.A.I.T.H. focuses on keeping ones faith up-to-date. It is the fifth in a series of books written since 2002 that carry a common theme of Faith and Science that is necessary for living well today. The acronym of F.A.I.T.H., used in this book, emphasizes the importance of Finding Authenticity In Today's Happenings for creating one's life with the verifiable facts of science in this 21st century. Because change, diversity, and equality are core values in our universe, we need to constantly and consistently appreciate these values in order to make positive progress and move forward one day at a time. For most people the view of everything is from a Singularity, in the realm of science, or God, in the realm of faith, or both. This book appreciates this common unity between science and faith and shares a love and equal respect for both traditions. Such notable people in faith and science are the prophets, Jesus, Mystics, the desert fathers and mothers, with more modern notables like Buddha, Galileo, Einstein, Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Today, more than ever, as our world grows smaller with more and more people coming into sharing community, we need renewing faith in love, compassion and grace to become interdependent as friends and neighbors. Sharing and searching together the truths of verifiable facts as we progress in this age of reason, we will find authenticity in today's happenings for living well together.

Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Anglistik - Literatur, Note: 2,7, Universitat Duisburg-Essen (Geisteswissenschaften), Veranstaltung: Proseminar: "Man and Animal in Contemporary Fiction," Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: "Even the Greek definition anthropos, He Who Looks Up, is inaccurate. Man seldom looks above his own height ...]" (White 53). This acknowledgement by Merlyn gives a good impression of the whole tenor of the novel The Book of Merlyn. This work is part of the pentalogy The Once and Future King, which retells the Arthurian legend. In this book King Arthur, not a young boy anymore and facing a battle with his enemy Mordred, finds himself standing in front of a council consisting of various types of wise animals who deal with a difficult question: In what way does human kind distinguish itself from other species and how do they fit into the world? It is common knowledge that neither modesty nor peaceableness is one of human kind's speciality. No species eliminates land, other creatures and even members of their own race in such great extent like mankind did and is still doing. These and other issues are in the centre of attention in this novel. Furthermore the characters discuss a lot about political and social systems and in how far some of these are or are not just a characteristic of human societies. However, the reader of the pentalogy by T.H. White could wonder why these matters are so important for the Arthurian legend or the course of this version of the story in specific. Especially the fact that many subjects of discussion refer to many historical events and figures who existed in the modern age and some of them even at White's time is very confusing and does not fit into the pattern of the pentalogy. Nevertheless, there is no doubt that these issues have a special meaning within the whole work and support the plot in many ways. The modern aspects of this book turn the whole historical fantasy saga into a socio-political and philosophi

South Sudanese have good laws on papers, but their implementations differ with what the lawstipulates. One of these good laws is the separation of religion and state. In Church, State andthe Ethical Imaginations, Zechariah Manyok Biar explores what lies behind discrepanciesbetween written laws and their implementations in South Sudan. He comes up with a newconcept of central value systems to see if it can explain factors that contribute toinconsistencies in implementations of legal provisions such as separation of religion andstate. Central value system is a conservation value composed of conformity, security andtradition. The author shows that this book is important in the sense that it introduces a conceptthat explains why South Sudanese have good written laws but rarely implement them asstipulated. The book will also help non-South Sudanese readers understand discrepancies inimplementations of legal provisions in their respective contexts. It is likely that bothconservatives and liberals employ conservation values of conformity, security and tradition toprotect whatever values they cherish. For example, liberals may require conformity from theirmembers to secure or protect the main values in their liberal tradition. Similarly, conservatives would employ central value systems to shield cherished conservative values. Itis probable that the conservation value constitutes a central value system for any person orgroup of any persuasion or school of thought. It resists penetration from new values trying tochange cherished values. In South Sudan, central value systems protect the values of powerand harmony. Theology in the context of South Sudan would thus be a theology of harmony. Its base is the Trinitarian God, eschatological in orientation and secular in responsibility. Theoriginality of this study is in demonstrating that conservation values form central values thatdirect how people react to values that they are uncomfortable with, regardless of whether theyare conservatives or liberals.
